Have some friends in town for the race on Sunday. We'd love to go somewhere fun to carb load. Any suggestions??

Thanks for the suggestions. I think we'll either go with Taqueria Chilangos...although these friends are from San Fran, so are serious mexican foodies, so maybe we'll go for a po-boy instead. Of the places mentioned, which is the best for po-boys?

I'll have 2 hours between picking up two groups of friends from the airport, so figured I'd take the first group out for dinner. Any good recommendations? All of my searches have turned up are scary sounding chinese take out joints. Not exactly what I had in mind....

Anyone been to MILA?
I was there during its soft opening period. It was a slow weeknight, so we had the whole place to ourselves, which made the service extremely attentive. The food was quite tasty, but somehow fell flat. I wasn't wowed by the creativity of the dishes. Sometimes simplicity is best, but in this case, something just didn't gel. Perhaps they have worked out the kinks by now!

Plum Pomodor-- lower Wash Heights
I had a totally overpriced gross meal there. My sandwich was completely soggy and my lunchmate's lobster risotto was terrible -- completely salty and like 2 tiny pieces of lobster. a total rip off. go up like 3 blocks to the new Tapas place. now that's good food for a good price.
