I put out apple slices and caramel dip for the kids and my little one decided to first dip the slice in a little garlic salt and then the caramel. I did not try it but all the kids thought it tasted good! LOL!

Is that a marsala sauce? I love that dish. We alsas get the calamari and mussels for appetizers. Rigatoni d. Linguini with clam sauce. and then the chocolate cake which is outstanding! I need a copy cat reipce for the cake and the rigatoni. Help!
Who uses coffee creamer? Copy cat recipe for caramel macchiato?
I bought the caramel macchiato creamer by coffee mate to try to replicate the coffee at caribou. Was not successful. Do you have a recipe and/or what creamers do you like so that I can make flavored coffee at home. I have not tried those creamers since college and I remember them having an oily aftertaste. But my husband likes sweet flavored coffee and its getting expensive going out for the stuff.
How do you like your coffee?
I like coffe first thing in the morning about 1/3 milk and 2/3 strong coffee. No sugar. In the evening if I am having some rich sweet dessert, I like it black. My husband likes it with a lot of brown sugar or honey and cream. We also both get the vietnamese iced coffee when we are eating pho.

My mom always presented the food beautifully. She told me its important to make the dishes look appealing. I try to copy her but sometimes I get lazy. I think the food does taste better when it looks better.
She also taught me to buy fresh items and cook from scratch. She never bought many processed foods. I always complained that there was nothing to eat in the house because we did not have ready made stuff. Now, I pretty much do the same.
The weather is warm, time to start grilling....
Oh yes. I have an eggplant in the fridge and some zucchini. Maybe I will grill those with the Chilean sea bass I saw on sale.

Just wondering... what other coffees do people like from Costco other than that World Blend. I bought the Caribou one last time to shake things up and was disappointed.

OMG!!! I can finally post a reply. I was having trouble with my computer because I have windows 7 or some such thing. That is why you have not heard from me....
Anyway, the truth of the matter is is that I let myself indulge to my heart's content at a restaurant if they have amazing bread and butter. Especially when its warm and crusty!
Yes Duchess, I do taste my entree. But, if there is good bread and butter, I am perfectly content to eat that as my meal and take the entree home!

When I am in a restaurant, I allow myself to eat bread and butter til I am so full I have to take my ENTIRE entree home.
What Pepper? Red, slightly spicy and somewhat sweet

OMG! That is pretty much what mine looked like but I used reg mayo, not wasabi. You are an amazing researcher! BTW, hubby loved it and said it tasted great.

My husband wants crab salad. Any good recipes out there? He says it has potatoes, peas, onions and possibly boiled eggs. I bought a one pound tin of crab which cost a lot and I dont want to screw it up. THanks.
