Still dreaming of chocolate-topped panettone with figs
I am looking for a certain amazing panettone for my family Christmas. A couple years ago, we found a panettone with figs in it and it had a coating of dark chocolate covering the top, and I haven't been able to find it since.
Internet searches found panettone with bits of fig and chocolate inside the cake, but not this one with the chocolate topping. If you have seen it in a store or online, I'd love to know where!
Recipe for fatah with meat?
I've moved to a new city and away from my favorite dish, which I'd like to try to replicate. The restaurant was middle eastern, owned by a family from Kuwait. The entree was simply called fatah with meat, and I presume the meat was lamb. The fatah was a thick, rich combination of hummus, bits of pita, tahini, etc...., and flavorful pieces of meat were sprinkled on top. Can anyone tell me how to make this?

Thai Khao soy in the bay area?
Has anyone seen khao soy on a menu at a restaurant in the bay area? I had this soup in Chiang Mai, Thailand and haven't seen it on a menu since I've been back.
If not, does anyone have a good recipe for it?
