MSP - Dinner for a group this weekend!

Mai Village in St. Paul off University would be my suggestion. They have such a great space and it's never a problem getting a large group like that in there.

MSP - MASA TONIGHT!!!!!

The honey margarita is the best margarita I have ever had.

Wife's 40th Birthday in MSP

You should also check out Sweeney's off Dale in St. Paul and the Local off Nicollet in Mpls. They have rooms you can rent and both places and they provide apps and drinks.

MSP - Hmong

Well hello! I saw this thread and thought, "hey, D should read this," then I opened it and saw it was you. Bwah!

Anyway, like someone else said, the Mpls Farmers Mkt is the way to go, not the St. Paul one. Although it sounds like the St. Paul one could be a good place to check out. I will take you to the one on Nicollet on Thursday and then on Saturday or Sunday if you want to check out the big one, I will show you were that is too.

And yeah, we don't really have Hmong restaurants, which is why the ones I listed are more Vietnamese. But for the most part, they are run by Hmong people, so you could find people to interview there at the very least. And we could always go back to Quangs on Eat Street too!

Downtown Mpls - celebatory dinner

Don't forget Murray's for steak. The butterknife steak is one of the best I've ever had.

MSP - Nice Place to rent out for 30th bday

Try the private rooms at the Happy Gnome or Sweeneys in St. Paul. They have full bar service, although I think if you want food, you have to order that separately and it isn't required.

MSP - Sides at Brasa

I loved the potato salad there, but I've heard from many other people who didn't like it. It's not too mustard-y, which is how I like potato salad. I also liked the yucca.
