Need suggestions for Indian in Jackson Heights

Ditto on the Jackson Diner. Reliably great, and a bargain. Have not spent enough time in JH to guide you on what else to do while there-- but it's certainly scenic and bustling.

feeling a little cranky about delivery via TakeOut Connection in Forest Hills

The best places in the neighborhood (e.g., Dee's, Q) only deliver via TakeOut Connection (which, aside from jacking up the bill, always seems to take longer than waiting for delivery from a restaurant itself...) Any new-ish additions, OFF of TakeOut Connection, that'll deliver to Forest Hills? And does anyone else dislike feeling like TOC's got a monopoly on delivery options around here. Or am I just in a fugly mood? Thanks.

Brunch places around W 57th

the new restaurant on W. 54th is supposed to be great. Think it's called Grayz--it's gotten some nice press (nice enough that I might even ignore the cheeseball spelling)

brunch for 4 adults and a pair of 3-yr-olds in Forest Hills

Hey, kidless and clueless couple here. Our close friends are visiting us this Saturday with their 3.5-year-old twins. Where can we go in the Forest Hills/Rego Park/Kew Gardens area where we won't get dirty looks for bringing the tots? ( These kids are actually well-behaved, relatively speaking--but hey, they're 3.) I guess we can always bring them to someplace like Johnny Rocket's--but we're hoping to find a place where we adults won't have to suffer. TIA.

What is a great, cheaper steakhouse in Manhattan?

Have not been there in several years, but I once had a pleasurable date at Les Halles on Park Ave. South....and the date was pleasurable solely due to my hanger steak, not the company.
Don't know of Novecento is still around, but that used to be a fun Argentinian joint.

Lunch near the MoMa?

There's a place called Pazza Notte on 6th Ave, around 56th St. Great pizzas, salads, and flatbreads.

Croissant in Park Slope

I also enjoy the whole wheat croissants (sounds boring, but yummy) at Cousin John's.

Must Eat Places in Park Slope on a Saturday?

I happen to like Cousin John's Cafe & Bakery on 7th Ave. --great croissants and coffee. But I am relatively easily pleased.

great cakes/pies in the Forest Hills area?

Many thanks, everyone! It's funny about Martha's.... there is always a crowd there (perhaps due to the relative lack of alternative options in the area)

Am a big fan of the Little Pie Co. in Manhattan....do we have anything comparable here in FoHi or anywhere in this neck of Queens for that matter?
