Francesca's Bedford Hills casual Italian

My parents live in Bedford and we needed a casual Italian restaurant to take the kids as well. A friend suggested Francesca's for dinner so we gave it a shot. All said we had a very nice experience. The owner happened to be there and took special care of the older folks and kids. We started w/ a Pizza from the brick oven fig and prosciutto pizza, also a simple margharitta as well. thin and crispy

We also shared a few appetizers including Calamari, eggplant rollatini and jumbo baked clams wich the kids devoured also.

The service could have been a bit quicker to get us started but guess it was due to how busy they were but it improved once they got our order in.

The main courses were all pretty good with the standouts lasagna, chicken Parm and seafood dish special.

Worth going and a good recommendation as I come up to Westchester from manhattan pretty often. We actually took home some of their tomato sauce as well !

morandi worth a shot

Very happening but watch out for the center tables or you will get run over ! Food was generally real good but over priced! Osso Bucco $49 WOW. fried artichoke awesome, pumpkin great, veal chop also good. Meat balls were very nice. the Bacala was just OK. not big enough either... but id go back for sure!
