Napa in November
Please don't miss Bouchon. It offers some of the best French food in Napa and definitely the best ambiance, especially if enjoy Paris. The quiche, croque monsieur, salmon rillette, frites, really everything is a cut above just about anywhere else you can get it. P.S. I 100% prefer Bouchon over Bistro Jeanty, after plenty of experience. Also in Yountville, you have tons of other options, like Ad Hoc or a fairly new spot called Cantinetta Piero that is just awesome.
In Healdsburg, definitely, definitely go to Scopa. You'll be happier with Scopa than Cyrus if you're trying to be budget conscious and even if you're not. Every plate can't be so precious and Scopa is delectable.

Anniversary day in NYC, Jean Georges for lunch, what about dinner?
Hi -
My husband and I will be in NYC for our anniversary and are planning on a day of delectable food experiences. We're going to Jean Georges for lunch because we've always wanted to go and don't feel right spending the kind of money it takes to do dinner.
Since we're doing true, classic fine dining for lunch, I'd like to find a place in either the East or West Village with tons of ambiance, warmth and fun with a more rustic or international flair for dinner. Ideas were Cuba, Supper, L' Artusi, August
Can anyone tell me there thoughts? Ideally someplace with great food, ambiance and a chance of live music perhaps (not essential). I'd love to know if there are any amazing Mexican, Nuevo or Indian places that fit this bill. It has to ooze ambiance but not in a fine dining sense. We'll head to Little Branch after for cocktails. It's on a Thursday. Anything jump out?
Cafe Boulud's lunch/brunch menu?
I'm glad you like it RGR - we're going there next week on our final day in town - looking forward to it.

[SEA] Need recommendation for moderately priced Italian
Oh man, try Mondello in Magnolia. It's got great ambiance and they make all thier own pastas fresh daily. It's small and Southern Italian inspired. Live jazz guitar on tuesdays and thursdays too.
Date recommendations on the Eastside (Redmond/Bellevue)?
Cafe Juanita is really exceptional food and definitely won't break the bank if you aren't drinking. Seriously, this place is not to be missed. Purple in either Woodinville or Kirkland is also very good.
2nd Timer Foodie - Need a local's view on my plan
What would you hit up in the West Village - I'm open to changing it up for sure!
2nd Timer Foodie - Need a local's view on my plan
Any suggestions on how to get reservations at Babbo. I called 1 month to the day ahead of time for each day I'd be there, starting at 10am when their reservation line was open and it was busy for 2 hours solid and then when I got through it was booked. For Sunday night, I literally called 100 times. Redial, hang up, redial hang up. ugh.
I went to les Halles, Bar Jamon, Chelsea Market, pastis, balthazar, some Italian place in the theatre district, Cafe Cubana, Gramercy Tavern, Rose Mexicano and some others I can't remember. I shouldn't even call myself a foodie, because its not even about the food, its about the feel of each one and just getting that first taste of what they are like. I actually ate something in about 1/2 the places, in the others, I had a drink or a coffee and just soaked it in.
2nd Timer Foodie - Need a local's view on my plan
I'm coming to NYC next for my second time. The last time was for 30 hours only but I still managed to hit about 12 restaurants. I just love to go to these places I've read so much about. Can I get any opinions, advice or DONT DO ITS on my plan?
