Santa Barbara / Santa Ynez Food and Wine Tour
Hello, So I'm new to the Chowhound forum, but definitely not new to absolutely loving food and eating my way through whatever vacation spot I choose, so... I'm planning a trip to Santa Ynez and Santa Barbara for the Thanksgiving vacation (Thursday through Saturday) with two friends. First, two of us are meat eaters and one is a veggie and we're all in our early 30's. We're going to first head up to Santa Ynez and then head the long way back down the loop south and then east via the 101 to head to Santa Barbara.
Any suggestions for great food that is not insanely expensive (thinking less than $30 per person max)? How about interesting wineries or even breweries to mix things up a bit? How about any other great places that people are just dying to recommend? We're kind of looking for off the beaten path, non-touristy areas that are not about hype but about real, good, honest food and spirits.
