SANTE’S Spokane, WA – Independent, European style farm to table restaurant where they butcher and cure their own meats. / CHEF MAVRO Honolulu, HI – Asian / French fusion (gawd I hate fusion) restaurant that actually works. The only restaurant in Hawaii that deserves 5 stars. / ROVER’S Seattle, WA – French cooking style using fresh Pacific NW ingredients, done exceptionally well. / PASCAL’S ON PONCE Coral Gables, FL – The best French in America. / THAI PLACE San Bernardino, CA – A little tiny hole in the wall serving the most authentic Thai food I have had outside of Thailand. Cheap and fantastic.

Don’t use cookbooks, most are haphazardly thrown together containing numerous errors in recipes. Besides they are out of date when they are printed, much better to keep up on current food trends by periodicals and eating out often.
