Looking for the best Donburi

I've tried searching through the boards for Donburi discussions but it is always just a quick mention when people are discussing Ramen or Sushi. But Donburi rocks my jollies so I was hoping there were others out there with recs for the best Donburi they've had in the Bay Area.

I usually prefer Katsu or Unagi Don. And Donburi should really be more than rice with soy sauce sprinkled on with a piece of deep fried pork and an egg on top of it.

The egg should be slightly runny still and the yolk a liquid gold. The pork should be golden brown, tender, and crisp. The onions should be caramelized and should ooze and help add to the delicious and thick sauce that is put on the white blanket of rice that reminds you of fresh fallen fluffy snow.

I really shouldn't post things when I'm this hungry. Any suggestions will be great appreciated and tried, no doubt. My fall back for good Donburi has been Sushi Rokko in the Sunnyvale Downtown area. They keep it pretty consistent and tasty as all giddy-up. Thanks again all.

Need Help w/ Seafood Restaurant for In-Laws

Thanks everyone for the input. I should have clarified in my original post but only 1 person wanted lobster and the $50 was for the people not ordering lobster. That probably would have opened a couple of more options. Just didn't think of it until Xiao Yang mentioned it.

Need Help w/ Seafood Restaurant for In-Laws

Hey Hounds,

I have the in laws coming in to town in a couple of weeks and they have said that they want a 1. good seafood restaurant 2. that serves lobster 3. with a view. Oh, and 4. they want to be spending about $50 a person. Anyone know of a place that would fit the bill? I really want to make a good impression on them. I am willing to go anywhere in the Bay area. Thanks hounds.

Oyster Hunt

Hey hounds. I have a huge craving for oysters on the half shell but have only been able to find places that charge 2.50 per oyster. Are there any good places in or around LA that sell oysters for about a buck an oyster? Any help is appreciated.
