Mini Baking Chips [Moved from Home Cooking board]

I'm trying to source miniature white chocolate chips and miniature peanut butter chips. Thus far, the Google has been far from helpful. Does anyone have a good source for these suckers?
Thanks!

what is everyone cooking for valentine's Day?

We had shrimp cockatil, caesar salad, steak au poivre, twice baked potatoes, chocolate souffle and vanilla ice cream. And champagne. Yum!

Holiday cut out cookie recipe needed

My family has been making this recipe for many, many years. I'm not sure where it came from originally or how many it makes--I usually double the recipe and would guess that a double batch makes about 6 dozen? We've quadrupled in the past as well.

Produces a crisp, simple cookie.

Cut-Out Sugar Cookies
2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
2/3 cup butter, softened
1 cup sugar
1 egg--beaten
2 tbsp. milk

Mix all ingredients until well blended. Refrigerate overnight. Roll out dough on hard floured surface, adding additional flour (quite a bit--otherwise cookies spread too much). Bake at 375 for 10-12 minutes, starting on the bottom shelf and moving to the top shelf after partially baked.

I usually use a simple powdered sugar/milk icing with these.

Mexican-inspired ice cream treats?

I wondered about tequila-flavored ice cream or sorbet. Does the alcohol affect the freezing? I would think so. Maybe the solution is your tequila puddle, mainsqueeze.

Mexican-inspired ice cream treats?

I like fruits too. Thanks, Sophia, for your help.

Mexican-inspired ice cream treats?

Thanks for the link TBird. I'd forgotten about Palapa Azul. I will definitely use them as inspiration.

Mexican-inspired ice cream treats?

I like the idea of a dark chocolate ice cream sandwiched between the cookies. Hmmm... also love dulce de leche, but don't want to burn out on the caramel flavor.

Suggestions for Christmas Eve Dinner?

We always do Mexican on Christmas Eve. Tamales, green chili, and hot chocolate are staples, other items rotate in and out.

Mexican-inspired ice cream treats?

I just received an ice cream maker as an early Christmas present! Hooray.

So... I'm having a Christmas party in a couple of weeks, with Mexican/Southwestern themed food and drink. I'd like to make something fun with my new toy.

The other desserts I'm planning are a cinnamon-sugar cookie, mini tres leches cupcakes, fudge, and caramel corn. (You can see that my theme is pretty loose.) Are there any ice cream treats you think would be a fun add-on? Maybe something I can sandwich between the cookies?

Thanks for any suggestions!

What do you eat when you are home alone? [moved from Home Cooking]

Dumplings and shiraz. And ice cream.

Try http://cupcakeblog.com. I think that is the one you are looking for.

Thanksgiving Brunch

Val, I use the same recipe as cackalackie and have successfully halved it before and baked in an 8 x 8.

Any favorite recipes for wild pheasant?

Dad always cut it up into tenders, dredged in flour, fried in butter, and passed it off as chicken nuggets to my brother and I. Not the healthiest, but yummy.

Ground Turkey ideas

I was also going to suggest ma po tofu. What we had for dinner tonight. Yum. Also: Lettuce wraps. Chili. Tacos. I've subbed it for almost any place I would normally use gr. beef or pork.

Washington / Hudson Heights delivery?

Hi Susan,
I live around 170/Ft. Wash, so a bit further south than you're looking, but we order from Empire (Chinese and sushi) on 168th and Broadway, Exclusive Pizza on 181, Sushi Yu on 181. Those are our regular spots. And a lot of the restaurants further up or down will deliver for a nominal fee ($1-2). We get menus all the time for places on the UWS and in Inwood.

With out question - the best cake I've had

I made the cake this weekend and agree with all the previous commenters. It is a gorgeous, moist cake, not too sweet, which is a nice balance to the light, fluffy frosting. I will definitely make this again.
