favorite restaurant in nj

Highlawn Pavilion is excellent. Black Forest Inn for not only German food but other entrees. Cafe Fiori in Randolph does a nice job. Same with Verde on Rt. 53 in Mount Tabor. Arthur's Tavern in Morris Plains ONLY is great for steaks and burgers. Skylark Diner in Edison - best "fine" diner in the state, hands down. E & V in Paterson when you want a lot of Italian food for the money; it's like two meals for the price of one.

Meadowlands area lunch?

Not familiar with all the restaurants in the area but I have taken clients to Bareli's on the Rt. 3 Service Road in Secaucas. But check to make sure they're open for lunch.

Parsippany Area

You're both right. While the food is good, it can get really noisy and annoying. I think that has hurt their business.

Parsippany Area

Eccola on Rt. 46 in Parsippany. It's east of the Sheraton. About 2 miles on the westbound side on Rt. 46.

Polish Restaurants Near Parsippany

Closest I know is the Polski Smak Deli on Rt. 23 in Butler, about 1.5 miles north of Rt. 287.

Many Poles like the Black Forest Inn, a German-Continental-European restaurant in Stanhope -one minute off Exit 25 on Rt. 80.

Polish restaurants

People who like Polish food also like German food. That's why the Black Forest Inn is so popular. Many Polish patrons along with Germans, Irish, Italians, etc. because the food is outstanding.

This weekend Black Forest Inn is having their Fasching Festival also known as German Mardi Gras. It's a mixture of some New Orleans dishes plus their popular German/Continental fare.

German or Polish Food

This is worth the ride. If you want something German but different, the Black Forest Inn in Stanhope, 1 minute off Exit 25 on Rt. 80, is hosting its Fasching Festival (aka German Mardi Gras). Master Chefs Heinz & Heiner are including some New Orleans specials on the menu tonight and tomorrow.

I know of two good Polish places but they are more of a deli. Piast's in Garfield and Maplewood and Polski Smak on Rt. 23 in Butler.

Sorry but these places are up north.

German Restaurant for Large Group?

I also recommend the Black Forest Inn in Stanhope, NJ just off Route 80. It would be the perfect place for your event.

German Restaurants in NJ

My favorite is the Black Forest Inn, off exit 25 on Route 80. Great food...authentically German. Just got word they're having a special German Heritage Festival on Saturday night, July 21. A special German menu, beer, music, etc.
