Good, Fun Restaurants in DC

Love Oyamel. Eaten there half a dozen times. Always order a lot and new things. favorites: Brussels sprouts, shrimp, scallops.

Another favorite is Eat First in Chinatown. The restaurant name is also my mantra.

Suggestions for Dinner/lunch in DC

Strongly endorse Birch and Barley. terrific Foie Gras. Excellent pastas.
Dino's is a good Italian Restaurant;Obelisk is better, but reservations are essential. Peter Pastan cooks the freshest ingredients: favorites are squash blossoms, pastas, soups. Desserts are the weak link here.

had a very good meal here. very inventive chef; uses combinations I wouldn't dream of. Foie GRAS Soup was one of the best dishes I ate. uses a lot of salty sweet combinations which I am not fond of. But I have to give this inventive chef credit. dreamsickle dessert was amazing. portions are small--and could be more generous for the prices. I would give this a second visit because the foodwasso inventive.

London Restaurants-- Recommendations Needed

one of my favorite London Restaurants is The Four Seasons (three locations in Chinatown).
The duck is incredible: tender, and flavorful. I like best the version with black bean sauce. Eaten there dozen or so times; never a bad meal and very very reasonable, too.

10 Arts by Ripert was very good. The salmon tartare was exquisite: perfect balance of fresh chives and Dijon mustard.

great restaurants on Grand Cayman

Had an excellent meal at Ragazzi; loved the scallops wrapped in sea bass. Prices very reasonable for quality of food. 235 us for dinner for family of four. All enjoyed the meal.

Blue was outstanding. the cooking is flawless. Had a seabass with an avocado purée and lime sauce that was nothing short of sublime. Everything was excellent. be warned: total bill for family of four was 665 dollars (included a bottle of Sancere for 75 US). Lobster appetizer with brown butter sauce lovely. My sons loved the lobster ravioli. dessert did not disappoint. Service is very attentive.
