A wonderful bistro in New York City just down from the Soho Grand Hotel - wish I could remember the name! I do remember stealing bites of my husband's amazing steak and frites!!
My current drink of choice:
Bold cabernet or salted marg on the rocks --- depends on the evening. Sometimes bubbly is all that will suffice!
I really wish I could:
Get more good ethnic spots to eat in my neighborhood!
My "Go-to" dinner party dish:
Casual for a crowd is chicken and fire roasted green chili enchiladas. More upscale gathering - creamy rosoto w/ grilled lamb chops.
My favorite comfort food:
Absolutely anything smothered in green chili!
My top 5 favorite restaurants:
Bistro Vendome (so romantic in summer and heavenly food), Mizuna (lobster mac & cheese to die for!), Sweet Basil (Vail), Santiago's for green chili and still searching for a great Italian spot. :-)
My most tattered cookbooks:
I am not very good about following a recipe verbatium but the food network online recipes are fun to try. As far as actual cookbooks - the Best of Colorado's Gourmet Gold, Moosewood, Creme de Colorado and Julia Child's classic "the Way to Cook" are great for tips and ideas.
