I've had so many incredible meals, it'd be hard to say which was the best.
My current drink of choice:
Non-alcoholic: Diet Coke Plus, deliciously-alcoholic: La BĂȘte's 2005 Pinot Noir from the Momtazi Vineyard
I really wish I could:
Be a restaurant critic or a food writer.
My "Go-to" dinner party dish:
Veal medallions dotted with bleu cheese and drizzled with a port wine reduction.
My favorite comfort food:
Toasted dark rye pumpernickel with unsalted butter and hot Wuyi Oolong tea.
My top 5 favorite restaurants:
Tien Yi in the Peak Tower in Hong Kong, Restaurant Vermeer in Amsterdam, Heathman Restaurant in Portland Oregon, and Lespinasse and Union Pacific, both of which are in New York; unfortunately, I heard both Lespinasse and Union Pacific have since closed.
My most tattered cookbooks:
Larousse Gastronomique, Julia Child's "The French Chef Cookbook", Heberle's "German Cooking", Bracken's "I Hate To Cook Book"
