I am also looking for that recipe! No it was NOT a ceviche type dish. It was a stew and the base was made from beer and old bread you are correct. Does anyone know how to go about doing this? I'm not beyond trying to make one up but I'd like an idea of how to start, what type of bread would work best etc. I guess I might have to find some Ecuadorans locally and see if I can get some ideas.
Chocolate without vanilla
I'd like to hear more about Xtabentun and the Xocolatl! Please explain and maybe give a recipe?!? I love dark chocolate but never knew there could be vanilla in it? I'm going to have to check my favorites and see....
