Looking for a great restaurant to convert a non-fish eating person in the South Bay

I think you could not do better for a reforming vegetarian than New England Lobster, in Burlingame. Excellent lobster roll (lobsters don't really have a face), good prices on everything cooked or raw. You can even get environmentally reasonable wild USA shrimp here, for less than I've seen anywhere else.

Retail foie gras anywhere?

D'Artagnan have apparently been advised it's legal to sell to Californians given that they're in New York. Let's hope this withstands the inevitable lawsuit. I'm quite happy with their f.g. price & quality & even happier that they're selling this way.
