Take Photos.

Print the BEST one at most 3 as 5x7s (More than 3 will have a diminishing return on appreciation. Make sure one of the pics is of your host. People appreciate it when you take their picture.) Everyone posts photos on Facebook who prints anymore?

Send it to your host. Hand write a thank you note and write your favorite moment during dinner. You don't need to formally send it via snail mail or buy a fancy card. It's really the thought that counts.

I was using Postagram on my iphone http://postagramapp.com/ the not so tech savvy think it's incredible (my parents) & it saves a whole lot of time.

How do you take your hard boiled eggs (when you eat them as-is)?

Where did you buy sambal? Would I find it in a chain food store?

Ziploc/Glad Containers: Am I expected to return or toss?

If given to me by family, I don't return them because everything in my family kind of belongs to everyone else in my family.

However, before I leave a friends house I usually ask her/him if they'd like the containers back. I say something indirect like, "Oh thank you for the container. This is so much easier to take home. Will you be home later this week so I can return it."

If you don't feel like returning them at least recycle them.

You have great friends, hope you feel better. Umm, can they drop off soup to me?

Bastille Day Recipes Any Suggestions. It's also a B-day Party. How can I combine the two?

Hi,

So it's my BFF's B-day is on Saturday. We were all going to meet at the park in the afternoon. I was already bringing Baguettes, Blue Cheese + another Cheese (still undecided) and Honey. But it would be cool if I could make it french themed (since it's the same day). As well, a few of our attending friends are French. I'm sure it's not easy being away from home during a holiday. I'd die missing the fourth. :)

I'm not french so is there a special french b-day cake. Or something that you eat only on Bastille day?

Any help would be appreciated.

Spatula for a new cook

lol. I won't tell the other spatulas. I do like fish, other than a spatula anything else for getting it out of the pan?

Spatula for a new cook

"I think spatulas are a little like pairs of shoes. If you have several and rotate the use, they last indefinitely." Noted. Does it matter what kind of wood they are made out of?

Spatula for a new cook

Ya I wasn't thinking about baking. Thank you for bringing that up. I was just thinking about an all around good spatula as kind of a starter piece to my hopefully growing cooking utensils. Restaurant supply! Awesome idea.

Spatula for a new cook

I just started having time to actually cook. I own 1 pans and 2 pots. I bought a spatula at Target. It's metal and plastic. I'm looking to invest in one that lasts a lifetime. Is this possible? Or are spatulas disposable? Looking for suggestions
