V-day

I waited wayyyy to long to make a reservation for Valentines Day. But I had been so busy with my vacation to Vegas last weekend (got engaged! woo!) that it slipped through the cracks!

Now I think I am screwed! Anywhere that is decent and in our price range is booked.

I need your help! Any suggestions for a last minute Valentines Dinner? We would go up to $75 per person. We enjoy healthier options and especially farm-to-table food. We would prefer to find somewhere with a reservation available instead of risking a long wait.

I already tried Nightwood, Bristol, Duseks, Publican, Lulas, Blackbird, Avec, Gilt, etc.

Help!

early dinner

We r arriving in vegas this weekend and we have show tickets for Saturday night at 630. I noticed that most fine dining spots do not open til 5. Does anyone have a recommendation for a dinner spot where we won't be in a hurry? We are staying at mandarins oriental and the 630 show is at ceasers. We are considering a buffet but we arent sure if that would suffice as fine dining. Maybe bellagio buffet?

Other ideas

Our other ideas for dinner on my birthday (besides the Spiaggia conundrum) are Roka Akor, Topolobampo, or Longman and Eagle. We really would like to dress up fancy so that is our number one criteria. We do not mind either driving or taking a taxi from our apartment. We would like our total bill after drinks to be under 250. Does any one have a similar restaurant to suggest or a preference of the restaurants mentioned? Also would any of these options be to casual for a dress and a suit? <3

Spiaggia Vs. Cafe Spiaggia

My boyfriend and I are both Chicago natives and we are debating where to dine for my birthday dinner. I was recommended to go to Spiaggia but upon my research it seems like Spiaggia might be over the top pricey. So, I made a reservation with Cafe Spiaggia. But now that my boyfriend and I have been reading about the prestige and acclaim of Spiaggia we are torn between the two. Any advice? We would prefer to stay on a budget, but our idea for dinner was that we could get dressed up in a dress and a suit, and both menus sounds delicious! Help!

Solo Dine in Brooklyn on Saturday Night

Smith Street sounds like it'd be cool for some after dinner drinks! Is it well lit and busy at night? If I strolled around there after dinner, are there many taxis riding by?

Solo Dine in Brooklyn on Saturday Night

Robertas sounds AWESOME! I am already planning my feast! But, how is the atmosphere? Would it be awkward to dine alone?

Low-Key and Tasty in Wicker Park

Id suggest travelling a bit north for low-key. Try Logan Square's Lula Cafe. But you have to be mindful because they are not open everyday and the menu changes! They have an amazing brunch for an adventurous eater!

Near Hotel 71

Also, try Chicago Q! They have an interesting space in their upstairs for large groups.

Solo Dine in Brooklyn on Saturday Night

I am from Chicago and staying the weekend in Brooklyn near Bushwick.

I would hate to settle for something mediocre on a Saturday night for dinner.

Does any one have suggestions for solo dining on a Saturday night?

I would prefer to stay in Brooklyn. I want to keep it under 100 after drinks and a tip.

I prefer beer or wine over cocktails, unless you know where to get an amazing cosmo. Especially because I am alone.

I plan to take a taxi or public transit depending on the time and location. I am open to other boroughs or Manhattan but I'd really rather keep it to Brooklyn to save time and costs.

I am open to all types of ethic food or american dishes. My current obsession is farm-to-table dining.

Thanks all!
