(New) Janes-on-the Common-Halifax Well it is consitantly considered to be one the best restaurants in Halifax since it opened it's doors the bad news is they are closing shop on Dec 31st I have never had a bad meal or bad service at jane's |

I like Darrell's but its an atmosphere thing as well, they did switch over to fresh Nova Scotia Beef this summer which has upped them a notch Cheese Curds is good not great MY 2 faves are Ace Burger owned by Brooklyn Warehouse |

My current list is Salvatore's but that are all different still something charming about the original at Sal's and piatto has good pizza and good service |

Birthday dinner in Dartmouth - need recs my instincts were Downtown Dartmouth with Nectar and La Perla Ciceros out in Porter Lake is supposed to be good people rave about Vines in Cole Harbour but I have only ever found it adequate Talay Thai in Halifax is tasty but I have never been to the one by Colby Village |

He just started doing it in May after Open City but it's delicious you can even ask for death sauce which is the perfect amount of heat to flavour |

this is great idea since you are only here one Day http://localtastingtours.com/ http://fidresto.ca is a great showcase of local food with a known secret if you go to the backdoor Dennis will serve you take out Pad Thai for $10 Sugah! on the waterfront is hand paddled ice cream with lots of Nova Scotia made ingredients available and Big Kahuna which takes 2 people to eat is only $5 in Saint John visit the Farmers Market and take a look up at the roof |
