by the time June rolls around we will have Two Doors Down which is an offshoot of Chives but at a lower price point and moe casual

Fid often has Bahn Mi on their menu

Meat from the spit ideally cut by hand
Onions
Tomatoes
And classic condensed milk sweet sauce

Anything else is blasphemous

Cafe Aroma Latino (Agricola @ North) has a selection of dried chillies in small little latino grocery part of the cafe

any one in HRM who likes spices needs to get on this mailing lis "costas at halavrezos dot ca"

anyway Costas has a stand at the old Farmers Market on Saturdays and has the best Tellicherry by a mile

Well it is consitantly considered to be one the best restaurants in Halifax since it opened it's doors

the bad news is they are closing shop on Dec 31st

the meat in Doners in the UK is tastier but not he same with out the sweet sauce

I like Darrell's but its an atmosphere thing as well, they did switch over to fresh Nova Scotia Beef this summer which has upped them a notch

Cheese Curds is good not great
FlipBurger was not up to snuff I found it dull and dry
Relish yet to be yet

MY 2 faves are Ace Burger owned by Brooklyn Warehouse
and the purist super cheap classic at Westcliff

Piatto
Dmitri's

but that are all different
Dmitri's is my fave for a traditional maritime style pizza

still something charming about the original at Sal's

and piatto has good pizza and good service

Venus is rebranded/rebranding to Mezza Kitchen but they have best IMO

my instincts were Downtown Dartmouth with Nectar and La Perla

Ciceros out in Porter Lake is supposed to be good

people rave about Vines in Cole Harbour but I have only ever found it adequate

Talay Thai in Halifax is tasty but I have never been to the one by Colby Village
