I pour from it everyday. Works fine for me! What food or liquid concoction are you having difficulty with? |
HAHA! Absolutely! You sound like an awesome cook! Mark |
Yes, sorry if I wasn't clear, but that was my point entirely. The ability to shift attention to other more complex tasks at hand while letting the presets resolve the simpler tasks is very, very cool. Let the machine handle the "dumb" tasks. I'm sure soon we will have user-programmable presets as well. |

Not to get too esoteric here, but from the view of a serious meditation practitioner (which I am), the primary reason I value the presets is that they allow me to eliminate mental steps in the process, to divert my focus and attend to other tasks in the kitchen in a highly efficient and effective manner. In meditation retreat centers and monastic communities, cooking is one of the primary venues for concentration and mindfulness practice. HAHA! And, besides, they work! Mark |

It's simply a matter of opinion and personal preference, and personal preference is unarguable. |

Good choice! LOVE my Vitamix 750 Pro! For me, still operating flawlessly since May! Mark |

They guy doing the demo said the 6300 was a new hybrid. It looks likes a 5200, included the tall container, 3 presets, and pulse. Mark |
Love my 750. But I had to laugh yesterday when I saw Costco carrying the NEW Vitamix 6300. There is always going to be something new around the corner. Mark |
Exactly. I'm very visual as well. If you're going to pay that kind of money, it should look "new" for a while with normal use. It shouldn't look old before it's time. Mark |

How does it do with veg smoothies, ground fiaxseed, fresh hummus, and nut butters? Mark |
Glad for you! Love my 750 Pro. Been blending everyday for 5 weeks, no complaints. And by the way, it's not 180 watts less, it's 60 watts more. 1380 watts input on the 500, 1440 watts input on the 750. Peak HP 2.0 on the 500, peak HP 2.2 on the 750. Mark |

Hey, that's awesome! Would love to hear your experiences with it as you move forward. Conratulations! |

Alternative to Vitamix blender Yes. It is really hard to generalize. We all have our own story. |
Alternative to Vitamix blender Yes, in the store. I was just looking over the gizmo and the container cracked down the back. Couldn't believe it. Brand new unit. |

Alternative to Vitamix blender All citrus fruits to be precise. And I love oranges. Tea and coffee is debatable by the way. They have only linked decaf coffee with RA. Tea may actually reduce symptoms. No links with regular coffee. Dark chocolate is really, really good for you. |
Alternative to Vitamix blender You have RA and Lupus? Double whammy! Sorry to hear! I only have RA, and I love my Vitamix 750 Pro. Use it everyday. Having RA, remember to stay away from the oranges and tomatoes (you probably already knew that!) Mark |

Alternative to Vitamix blender I broke a Ninja machine in about 10 minutes at Bed, Bath and Beyond. No thanks. Cheap plastic made in China crap. Love my made in USA Vitamix! |

Alternative to Vitamix blender I have a top of the line juicer and it was a pain in the you know what, WAY too much work everyday. I always felt I was throwing out the good 'stuff' as well. In the end, I found that juicing is also not as healthy as blending, especially if you're a diabetic. As a diabetic you need the fiber to slow down the assimilation of sugar into your system. Juicing has a tendency to give you a sugar rush. NOT good! That's why I switched. |

Should be an easy argument to make. It is a long term investment in your family, your toddler, your husband, and yourself. |

Alternative to Vitamix blender And the Williams-Sonoma return policy is 90 days no questions asked. |

I am definitely going to purchase the 32oz dry container in the next month or two as the 64oz container doesn't handle grains and nuts all that well. I don't really see the need for the 32oz wet container though. |

At this stage of the game I ONLY use the presets. (I've only had it for two weeks or so.) On rare occasions I will use the variable dial to "finish off" something. I also like the brushed nickel finish on the 750 much more than the black or red colored 300. Goes with my kitchen better. Also, my philosophy about purchases may be unique, and goes something like this. If I can afford $550, then I can afford $650. Might as well get the top of the line as I'll have this blender for a long, long time. I've always used this approach with computers and it has served me well over the last 30 years. Over the long haul, I save money and am more pleased with my purchases. Very happy with my choice. |

Okay, one more time! I called Vitamix directly. The techs told me... The variable speed 8 on the 750 Pro is the same power as variable speed 10 on the 5200. The variable speed 10 on the 750 Pro is the same power as HIGH on the 5200. The fastest blade tip speed on both units is 240 mph, HIGH on the 5200, and variable speed 10 on the 750 Pro. The 750 Pro (and 300) have 10% more torque as well. Mark |
I don't think that's quite accurate. I have the 750 Pro and the manual states 1440 watts (12 amps x 120 volts). The 300 Pro should be the same. Both are rated @ 1200 "output" watts. RPMs I don't have a clue. |

VitaMix Blender, is it worth it? From the http://www.rawpower.com.au web site, an Australian distributor of Semak blenders. "Semak Vitacrush Blenders are made in China and I am very impressed with the high quality of both the jugs and motors. All come with a 2 year warranty." I can't find any page on the Semak web site which states they are specifically made in Australia. My guess is that some products are made in Australia, some in China. |
VitaMix Blender, is it worth it? Semak? Better specs on the newest Vitamixs. Why buy Chinese? |
Alternative to Vitamix blender But will it liquify an avocado seed? |

Alternative to Vitamix blender Totally understand. I was 1/2 kidding! I'm a retired IT guy and simpler is often better indeed, especially where "users" are concerned. However, I have come to respect the power, sophistication and reliability of these little chips that allow devices to do so much. There is not much about the blender presets from a hardware perspective that can fail. I don't see them adding any fragility to the machine. Now for some raw numbers that have been tough to find which you may appreciate... Power has been stepped up. Input watts on the 750/300 Pro are 1440 versus 1380 on the 5200/500 Pro. Peak HP is 2.2 versus 2.0 on the 5200/500 Pro. Torque has increased by 10%. I may be wrong but I believe this makes the 750/300 Pro the most powerful non-commercial Vitamix models on the market. And, contrary to Williams-Sonoma site, the existing 32oz wet and dry carafes used by the 5200/500 Pro actually DO fit on the new models (per Vitamix). I'm fairly happy with my choice. |
Alternative to Vitamix blender No way! I'll take the new model over the 3600 (most original one I can purchase) any day of the week! Technology marches on! |
HAHA! Well that would suck big time. Hmmmm! Now that I have this 750 Pro I've been looking at the Vita Prep 3? Thank God Williams-Sonoma has a 90 day return policy. |
