I have a favour to ask. A good friend of mine is coming into town and needs some recommendations for places to eat downtown.

“I have a colleague that is going to Vancouver in early July and would like to try seafood, steak, Mediterranean, Italian, sushi restaurants, etc. Do you have suggestions as to where to go? Preferably downtown. Hole in the wall is preferable over trendy.”

Any recommendations?

thanks for all your replies and I did checked out the roasted bone marrow at merchant's oyster bar on commercial drive last week. The bone marrow was delicious and the foie gras chicken liver mousse is a PLUS as well.

I will check out more dishes in future.

Thank you all, finally picked up my 1st batch o duck eggs from Coquitlam T& T. Already called
Chong Lee and they don't carry fresh duck eggs.

they only carry pork leaf lard fat and they don't stock caul fat at all
