Lunch near the CA Academy of Sciences
I'm taking my elderly mother to the Academy of Sciences on Wednesday. We will arrive via BART, which is about three blocks away.. I would like to take her to a nice lunch (not extraordinary expensive) near by.
She is not a big fan of fish, sushi, dim sum or Vietnamese and surrounding locals. Plus I'm not partial to Indian or middle Eastern food. Shrimp and any other cuisine is just fine.
I'd like to show her a nice time, but am not familiar with the restaurants in close vicinity to the California Academy of Sciences, currently on Howard Street near 5th Street.
Please help with suggestions! She may not be with us much longer and I'm trying to take her to some of the local treasures while she is still able to travel short distances.

My mother survived lung cancer last year. To celebrate the New Year, I will be taking her on a Hornblower cruise this weekend. I'd also like to take her out to dinner in the City later in January.
Which of the better Dine About Town restraunts are located within two or three blocks of a BART Station? I am unable to drive into San Francisco so proximity to BART is essential. TIA

Hard Cooked Eggs - how long?
I bought some eggs about a week ago. Yesterday I hard cooked them.
How long will they last in the fridge?
Help!!! My bbq beans came out too sweet
I changed my standard recipe by sprinkling brown sugar on top of them and then placing in the smoker.
My SO says their too sweet and won't eat them. What can I add to the beans to make them less sweet?
