Love Chi Spacca but it may be a bit meat centric for 12 and 14 year old girls. Probably my favorite place in LA though.

Although I have stopped going to the Ivy based upon a rude host, if you are going to go, make sure you sit on the patio. The fried chicken, chopped salad and pizza are all good. They are also famous for their Ivy gimlet. An even better patio, food and service can be found just down the street on 3rd at AOC.

Rodeo Drive is not relevant to food. It is to very high end shopping and spending money. Its a scene. In BH the food is mostly on Cannon, 2 blocks east. Wally's, Mastroes, Wolfgang's, Spago, E Baldi, Mr. Chow, Hakkasan, the Palm, Bouchon and others all make their home there.

WALLY'S BEVERLY HILLS

Went back last night. Fabulous. The grilled octopus is one of the best anywhere. Prucheto and egg yolk pizza was awesome and the steak and fries were done perfectly. Service, vibe and drinks all good. The place has a very good buzz and everyone seems to be having a good time. Totally unique.

What's the most unique and upscale Iranian/Persian food in LA?

After more thought, Flame seems to suit your request well. It is much more upscale and modern than most, has live music and full bar. Although my one lunch experience was limited, my hard core Persian friends swear by it.

Are all Sugarfish locations equal?

The Sugarfish concept is different and the food is prepared in the back in a high volume fashion. That is how they move so many people through quickly. FYI - I did some quick Google research and several sources (most of which gave favorable reviews) commented that the fish was cut at a central location and delivered to each outpost. May be wrong, but that sure is how it seems.

Could be wrong but don't think so. Never seen it cut in Brentwood.

I think (not sure) that all of their fish comes from and is pre-cut at a central location, so expect pretty much the same.

Great sushi between calabasas and burbank

You can do better than Sugarfish. Try Ahi Sushi at Ventura just west of Colwater. Venture east and there are several great options.

What's the most unique and upscale Iranian/Persian food in LA?

So had the chicken kabob with cherry rice and salad. It was good, but I think I like Sham Shiri better. The space is very nice, modern fresh and upscale. Full bar. They also apparently have live music at night. Looks like it must do a big evening business with the Persian crowd. Would go back for sure to try a wider variety.

I know. I hate constipation and if you have a colonoskpathy scheduled this is valuable information.

Are all Sugarfish locations equal?

I never feel good after eating at Sugar Fish and last week was in a meeting with two other guys have been there several times. I mentioned this and it started a roundtable about how bad both of them felt after eating there every time. Let just say it was unanimous that its the cure for constipation.

Another steakhouse that flies a bit under the radar is Wolfgang's up the street. A bit less crowded but a nice vibe and good steaks. That said, Chi Spacca is the call on this Post.

I don't think you can put Taylor's and Chi Spacca in the same sentence. If we are going pure steakhouse, Mastroes BH would be my choice.

Chi Spacca. There is no other choice in its class.

Soft shell crabs?

Out of the box but Le Chine Wok. House specialty, not on the menu.

Agree, but Chi Spacca is better for 3 or 4 than 2.

The patio at Il Moro is very nice and quiet and the food is always good. Its just east at Olympic and Barrington.

My mistake. In any event, nice space as I recall but not quiet or particularly good.
