Best value and experience around Grand Central?

My wife and I will be spending Friday and Saturday night, 42nd and Park. I searched the board, but the Oyster Bar overwhelmed G.C. searches.

We will be on a budget, under $80. Would like recommendations for classic New York city eats in this area.

Also, ideas for no reservation, Valentines evening meal.

Thanks,

Mike from Atlanta

1st time in W. Village, suggest inexpensive, fun and delicious meal?

Up from Atlanta, I'm going to the halloween parade tonight and would like to try a recommended favorite from the Chowhounds.

Prefer something a little bit away from the crowds, if possible.

Thanks

Eastern North Carolina style barbeque in NYC???

Home sick boy from Wilson in quest of vinegar based eastern carolina que, not expensive or touristy, just damn good and authentic, can I find it in Manhattan or Brooklyn.

I did a search and read extensive comments on Virgils, Daisy Maes, RUB, Blue Smoke, Fette Sau, etc, but didn't see the spot for NC Q.

Thanks

must-eats NOT near the subway

I'm new to this board and area, so this suggestion my get trashed, but I really liked Joe and Pats for pizza. Thin crispy crust with just the right bend and a rememberable semi-sweet sauce.

Out in Staten Isl not too far off the highway, past the bridge.

Bagel shop in cobble hill?

Thanks, dimples. I'll try them tomorrow.

Bagel shop in cobble hill?

I'm looking for a place to buy 10-12 fresh bagels near Wyckoff and Court.

Are there any preferred shops?

I did a search, but didn't find the answer. I not looking for H&H, but someone that's making them on site.

Thanks

Moving to Cobble Hill, what are your recommendations?

Thanks for the replies. I tried Joya last night and it was perfect for my first night. Very fast delivery, and good prices. Not the best thai, but I'll surely have it again.
