I have been. Service was good but was very disappointed by the food. The food was fine, quite expensive for what it was, but very mediocre.

We have 3 nights and 2 days in Capri. We are planning on doing one dinner at Del Gelsomina in ana capri, one lunch at la fontelina, and one lunch at Il riccio.

For our other two dinners, which of the following do you recommend. We'd like to have at least one where we get a feel of the "scene" in Capri.

Trying to decide between Hostaria Romano and Nino for first night in Rome. Want something near our hotel. Are either good lunch options?

I have been reading all of the posts and am overwhelmed by all of the dining options. I have 3 nights and 3 days in Rome. We live in NYC and eat at a lot of fantastic very high end restaurants here. In Rome, we are not interested in formal dining. We just want great food a combination of rustic, delicious food, and fun atmosphere. We don't want super inventive cuisine. In addition to dinners, what might be good for a big Sunday Lunch? Are there any good places to have something light like a pizza and salad and bottle of wine with outside seating at night? I have been given numerous recommendations and am having a lot of trouble making decisions. Also, could someone give me a sense of cost of these places?
