Where to have dessert in the North End???

We are headed to Prezza for a birthday dinner this weekend and I thought it might be fun after dinner to stop in and have a pastry somewhere for dessert? Any suggestions on pastry shops in walking distance from Prezza? Nothing super fancy just a place to get a coffee and a fabulous canoli or gelato?

Thanks!!

Craigie on Main, Brunch

Hi-- I have never been to Craigie on Main but it seems to get fabulous reviews on this board and other sites as well not only for brunch but also for dinner. I am planning a birthday gathering for six people and wonder if this would be an appropriate place. Is the food super adventerous? I notice mention of bone marrow, this seems adventerous to me, however the brunch menu seems tame. I was thinking something along the lines of Salmon, tuna, bass, shrimp, lobster, or ribeye, porterhouse.. fresh simple food with a flair.. any suggestions? Also not looking to break the bank, I would like to stay under 38 for the entrees, not including apps, wine and desert. Thanks!!

Eastern Standard, Gaslight, or Ten Tables?

Bob,

Thanks for the correction.. yes Eastern Standard it is, and you are correct 25-35 pp per entree..there of course would be drinks, appetizers, and desert on top of that. I will definately look at the blue room and Rendezvous. Thanks for the suggestions.

Eastern Standard, Gaslight, or Ten Tables?

Hi-- I am putting together a 60th birthday gathering in Boston for six people. The guests are not from around Boston and I live in in the Merrimack valley so I was looking for a little advice on some great restaurants. I have done a bit of research and was wondering if anyone has any feed back on the Eastern Kitchen, Ten Tables, or Gaslight. The price range is between 25-35 not including drinks...The crowd is not super adventurous when it comes to food, but likes Salmon grilled perfectly, or a nice hearty steak and potato type meal. The atmosphere is important, not too loud but not candlelite romantic either...Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks for your time!

60th birthday gathering in Boston

We are putting together a 60th birthday gathering in boston and would like some recommendaitons. We will be staying in the south end on the waterfront but are comfortable getting around boston so the restaurant does not have to be in the south end, there are 6 of us, and we would like something not trendy, warm inviting, not rushed or loud, but not romantic and excellent food. The birthday girl usually orders salmon out and is not into thick sauces but prefers fresh veggies. Wine selection is a must. I would prefer to stay under 35 dollars an entree but depending on the place and recommendation would consider going higher. Any help anyone can provide would be fantastic! Thanks again!!
