Eagle Rock lunch places?

I just started working in Eagle Rock, and so far the only place I've been to for lunch is Auntie Em's, which - at the risk of annoying some die-hard fans - I think is a bit overpriced. Usually I either bring my own food or meet friends in Pasadena or Glendale, but I'd rather stay closer to work. I haven't tried Casa Bianca yet, but I don't think they're open for lunch. What are some other good (and on the cheaper side) places for lunch around here? I'm open to pretty much any type of food, as long as it's tasty (which is why I'm here, obviously). Thanks!

Mouffetard dinner recs

Some friends and I are planning on going out to dinner tonight somewhere on Mouffetard or in that general area. Are there any places you could recommend for us, considering we're students and can't splurge on an extravagant meal? Well, not that the places around Mouffetard are so expensive anyways...

I've seen that Spanish place just north of Place de la Contrescarpe, it's usually busy, but it looks like it might be a bit touristy. We tried the Greek place just past that, but weren't impressed at all. I know I saw an Armenian place further down, I think on rue de la mongaigne Ste Geneviève, also a Tibetan place by rue des Ecoles - does anyone know anything about them?

Cafes to study in?

All those places are actually walking distance from my apartment. I have a library card at Sainte Geneviève, but I get more work done in a noisier atmosphere, believe it or not. I'll try place de la Contrescarpe - I met with a tutor there once and remember liking it. Thanks!

Cafes to study in?

I'm an American student living in Paris, and I'm looking for some good cafes to study in. I know most places, especially in the 5th, won't give you a hard time about plopping down for a while and doing some work, but I'm looking for places that are maybe known for that, or places where I wouldn't be the only one studying. I live in the latin quarter, so maybe this post is totally unnecessary? Thanks. Oh, and since my mom reads this board regularly, hi mom!
