NYers visiting Boston and catching Cirque du Soleil at Fan Pier Saturday night. Driving in from the Boston burbs. Looking for good restaurant walking distance from Fan Pier where we will be parking the car. Have read many posts about not so good food near/on Fan Pier. Could cab from/to FP, but prefer to walk. Interested in North End Italian. Mamma Maria and Prezza get good reviews on Chow. Are they are best bets? ----- Soleil Cafe Mamma Maria Restaurant |

Good eats near the Public Theater Having dinner with a dear foodie friend prior to going to a show at The Public (on Lafayette near Astor Place). Any suggestions as to where we should dine close by? SHow starts at 7:30pm, so we will get there around 5:30/6pm. Thanks. |

Indian in Portchester or nearby I've heard of a great Indian restaurant in Portchester...anyone know it? Or, can recommend one nearby? Have been to Malabar Hill in Elmsford which was good. |

Best Italian Restaurant in Midtown Cookshop is a good NY experience...neighborhood and approach to food, but also has a down home feel to it. I hail from VA and have taken folks from home to Dylan's Prime downtown (not sure if still there) for a different steak experience and they loved it. |

Would love any suggestions for two old friends meeting to talk and eat good food. Pricey ok, but astronomical not. Have checked out most of the theater-district ideas and would like to get suggestions east of Park Ave, btw 55 and 40th Sts. Am considering Brasserie, but have been ther many times (although not recently). Is it still ok? Other suggestions? |
