Lunch to thank my son's grandmother

Please help. Tomorrow, I am taking my son's grandmother to lunch. Short notice. I know. Lunch is to thank her for everything she was done for my son. He is leaving for college very soon. Looking for something in Seattle, with beautiful food and very friendly service. My son's grandmother has a sophisticated palette and is well traveled. However, we need to avoid spicy food. Price does not matter. Thanks for your help.

Breakfast on Bainbridge Island

Try Cafe Nola on Winslow. Just turn right at the first light as you exit the ferry. The restaurant is on the left at the first intersection.

Our family has been hosting a student from Sumatra. Before he returns to Indonesia in two weeks, he would like us to dine out on food from Indonesia. Did a search, found a posting from 2002. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Columbia City Bakery in Columbia City has the absolute best hamburger buns...not too large , not too thick and they do not fall apart (Macrina's brioche).

18th birthday dinner

Hello. We have an Indonesian exchange student living with our family. His eighteenth birthday is next week. He would like to eat either Japanese food or pasta. We will take him anywhere in Seattle, price does not matter. Also, he and my son usually have a couple hours of homework every night. As such, we want to dine early and somewhat quickly. What are your suggestions? Thanks for your help.

Your suggestions for Italian north end restaurant

Hello. From a previous post I received great suggestions for ethnic restaurants in close proximity to a few colleges in and around Boston. Please help me again by suggesting a few Italian restaurants in the north end neighborhood. We are looking for "fabulous" food and service ...decor is not as important. Price does not matter. If we should make reservations, or arrive before"X" to be seated promptly, please indicate. Thank you again for your help.

Where will I find fruit pie in Seattle?

Hello. I have been looking for pie like my grandmother made. What does this mean? Great pie crust...flaky, light and flavorful and filling that tastes like fruit, not sugar. Is there a place in Seattle where I can find such pies? Thank you for your help.
