Saison switches to prepaid ticket system Agreed. He takes himself very seriously. |

Wow, the comments on that Eater story are vicious. |

Atelier Crenn offers 6-course dessert tasting menu, $55 Super want. |

"Patricia Unterman, Examiner Food Critic, Dismissed" Funny, that is one of the few things Bauer does that makes sense to me. With respect to the top 100, at least. I think the entire point of the list is that you should be able to pick any restaurant and have a good experience every time you go (assuming you agree with Bauer's opinion of a good restaurant). If he has to go more than once to make sure the restaurant is still good enough for the list, it shouldn't be on the list anyway. |

Itinerary for our honeymoon in SF/Napa. Thoughts? It's about a 20-30 minute walk. Maybe more of less depending on how quickly you walk. Definitely not walking distance if you want to do some kind of ice cream taste-off. But, since you're planning to check out the mission anyway, you could start at one and then end up at the other after you've checked out the mission. That'll give you enough time to be ready for more ice cream. |

Itinerary for our honeymoon in SF/Napa. Thoughts? Just to clarify, I meant Bi-Rite Market. In case you thought I meant Bi-Rite Creamery. Although, obviously, there's nothing wrong with getting ice cream for a picnic! Both Bi-Rites and Tartine are on the same block. |

Good Mexican Restaurant near 50 in Sacramento? Haven't been there in a while but I love Tres Hermanas. It isn't directly on 50 but it's pretty close. |

Itinerary for our honeymoon in SF/Napa. Thoughts? This is a good idea, if you're spending the night in SF. The Sat farmer's market at the Ferry Building is the best time to go and you don't want to risk missing Roli Roti. |

Itinerary for our honeymoon in SF/Napa. Thoughts? I love Incanto and think the service there is great. And, if you're going to be in the Mission on Friday (including staying there for lunch at Tartine), then Incanto isn't far at all. In fact, if you've seen enough of the Mission, you can also check out Noe Valley and then you'd already be in the area. Also, you might enjoy having a picnic at Dolores Park. Get some food from Tartine and/or Bi-Rite and spend some time people watching. Then you could hop on the J Church and it'll take you to Noe Valley. |

Trip Report: Cotogna, Ferry Building, Atelier Crenn, Koi Palace Glad you had a great trip! |

Oh, awesome. That is really good to know. Thank you! |

Red Medicine is pretty noisy, right? Am planning to go there next week but now I'm wondering if it's too loud for a catch-up with a bff. |

Restaurants for lunch, ok for kids, serving offal? Thanks for the ideas, guys! The friends I'm going to Animal with have already arranged for baby-sitters, so it wouldn't be cool to invite my friend and her kids to their night out! But I will definitely try to go to Pizzeria Mozza then. Good to hear that you brought a 4 year old. |

I had the foie gras at Piperade last week. It was a torchon, which I don't usually enjoy as much as I do seared foie, but it was really good! Very simple, just some foie, with a little sea salt and pepper, served with crostini and some little berries. |

Quick help, please? Looking for Frenchy, Bistro-ish for tonight In addition to Le Charm, I'd also recommend Garcon! in the mission. One of my favorites. |

Saison switches to prepaid ticket system Haha, I know. I bet there are a lot of chefs who would raise their eyebrows at that comment. |

Saison switches to prepaid ticket system No one was ever forced to pay for the wine pairing though. It wasn't stated on SeatMe but you could reserve the chef's table without paying for wine pairings. And I'd guess anyone who would want to reserve the chef's table wouldn't have a problem calling the restaurant to find out if you could purchase it without a wine pairing. |

What's your very most favorite PB&J combination? Three favorites: 1. peanut butter sprinkled with cinnamon on toasted bread |

Saison switches to prepaid ticket system It really does! I don't understand why some restaurants think people want to hear music or see animations on a restaurant website. There are several very important and simple things that people want on a restaurant website (hours, menu, location) and everything else is irritating. |

I've never had them bone volcano style. That way looks a bit difficult. The marrow at Zare was my favorite. The marrow itself tasted the best and it was served with a bergamot preserve that was amazingly delicious and perfect with the marrow. |
|
|
I will add Bix to the list, thank you! |

After having some really delicious bone marrow dishes at a few places, I've become obsessed. I've had it at the following places: Bluestem Brasserie On my list to try: Marlowe Any other places I should check out? |

Restaurants for lunch, ok for kids, serving offal? This may be a long shot, but I thought I'd try. Am visiting Fullerton from the Bay Area and am pretty excited about the dinner reservations I already have lined up, which include Animal. One of my friends, however, is only able to meet up for lunch, with her kids in tow (a baby and a 4 year old), but she was really intrigued by the menu at Animal and wants to try some offal. So I'm wondering if there are any restaurants that serve offal, are open for lunch and would be ok for kids? It doesn't have to be at the same level as Animal, obviously, Just looking for a few interesting things she could try. Of course, I also want the restaurant to be really good. Anywhere within 1.5 hours of Fullerton is fine, any price range. Thanks! |

I'd pick Aziza and La Ciccia. I like Cotogna but I think La Ciccia would be a much more memorable experience for someone from out of town. Maybe check out the menus for La Ciccia and Cotogna and see which one seems more interesting to you. |

lunch in or around Sacto -- not burgers 'n fries, please Udupi was good but it has closed. I believe there's a Nepalese restaurant there? Something like that, I haven't been. And no, it's not related to the ones in the Bay Area. Udupi is a type of indian food, so it's a pretty common restaurant name. |

See, I thought the saltiness was perfect in the Baked Alaska at Haven and I love that gelato at Perbacco. So much so that I bought tahitian vanilla sea salt to use at home. |
|
|
Oops, sorry. It's basically a baked alaska (but without cake, which I think a baked alaska has) with some interesting flavors. The version I had was vanilla ice cream and mandarin sorbet on a nutty almond crust, surrounded by shiso meringue with mandarin gel and avocado fluff alongside. |
