Help! Been trying to find Thai Sticky rice in Woodland Hills CA area to make Mango Coconut sticky rice dessert...can't find it anywhere! Can anyone please suggest where I can buy it or if it's under a particular name? Thank you!
Thanks for all your suggestions! I didn't find them at Pharmaprix or Loblaws, though I know I had seen them there before...I called Nestle.ca because they have them on their site but don't list where they sell them and they don't sell to the public; the agent told me they are usually available only during Christmas. I checked out the websites of the English specialty shops you suggested, but they aren't listed, so I'll call and ask if they can order them. I know my uncle will appreciate them when I find them, but they won't taste as sweet as his memories!
Hi there! There's a Thai restaurant in Dollard des Ormeaux called "Restaurant La Perle" that has crispy shredded beef on the menu; the picture looks like what you posted. It's chewy and crispy in a sticky sweet sauce. If that sounds like it, then you should head over to La Perle!
I have been asked to buy Nestle Quality Street chocolates for an older relative who is very ill and has fond childhood memories of these chocolates.(I only liked the caramel ones!) I remember seeing tins of these chocolates in various pharmacies, but now that I am looking for them I can't find them anywhere! Amazon.com won't ship to Canada. Does anyone know where I can find these in Montreal? Preferably the larger tins. Thank you!
Hello, While shopping at a supermarket in Saint Martin/Sint Maarten, I discovered Elle & Vire Creme Brulee Professional Dessert Base; creme brulee preparation in a 1l UHT container that just needs to be brought to a boil then portioned out and chilled. It was bistro quality creme brulee that was absolutely decadent! Does anyone know if it can be purchased in Montreal?
Hello, can anyone tell me where I can find a Thai mango/coconut sweet sticky dessert (Khao Niaow Ma Muang?) in Montreal? I tried it for the first time last week in a small authentic Thai restaurant called Suraya in Burbank, CA (great Pad Thai, amazing menu and great prices)...loved it and it has become one of my favourite desserts!
