Dallas / Ft Worth - 1 Night - Mid Week - Suggestions for a beer, a walk about and some good food

Thanks for that, ended up getting a cab down to Sundance Square area, looked very very quiet so we followed the drivers recommendation and got dropped off down in the Stockyards area.

So $75 later, not quite what I was looking for as it was all a bit naff, (http://www.urbandictionary.com/define...). So after a couple of beers in what was a nice(ish) bar restaurant hotel got another cab back up to Grapevine :-).
$65 later got dropped off in the high street (main street).

Ended up in a restaurant having tex/mex but the food was not really that good. I am not naming it as these things stick on the net and perhaps we just had a mediocre plate of food when normally its good.

Spent the next day in meetings but had lunch the following day before we headed to the airport in Dallas at RJ's. Sat outside under dappled shade of the trees with skyscraper backdrop. The food was superb, and quite reasonable $ wise. I am sure if I had the time I could have found many other good places but RJ's will stick in my mind for a long while.

So in summary for anyone in a similar situation looking at these posts in future, If I were there again for just one night, I would head down to the historic district in Dallas to RJ's.

Many thanks for your recommendations

East of airport, but expecting to take a cab maybe to Dallas or fort worth or a similar distance

Dallas / Ft Worth - 1 Night - Mid Week - Suggestions for a beer, a walk about and some good food

Heading over mid next week from the UK and have 1 evening to spare.

Staying near DFW Airport and looking for an area (within say 1/2 an hours taxi ride) to have a walk around, a beer and some good regional food.

Any price from low to high is fine.

Suggestions please for an area, bar and restaurant.

Thanks in advance.
