Foods Together: My Way or the Highway Exactly what I was thinking. |

Yes it was clear glass. The label on the front did not state anything but " peppercorn medley grinder" it was not obvious that it was anything but a mix of various peppercorns. |
|
|
In the glass jar, with the built in grinder. |

Recently bought McCormick peppercorn medley. This is the one in the glass jar with the built in grinder. Used it the other night and wasn't very happy with the flavor and decided to just use my regular grinder which was full of straight black peppercorns. Today I just happened to look at the ingredient list on the McCormick bottle. In order, it read: |

At my favoRite thrift store recently, 3 all clad non stick pans 8.5 inch, 10.5 inch and a 12.5 inch. All in excellent condition. Plus an all clad pasta ladle/fork thing, total for all $46.50. |

I have a food crush on THIS U.S. city: Was recently in Santa Barbara and loved almost all the food I had there. Being from the new jersey I was amazed at the variety of really fresh vetables, fruits and the fantastic seafood, especially oysters. |

How many dinner sides do you usually prepare? Usually I will make one main protein dish and 1 vegetable side. If I serve rice/ potato and a main dish I will also have one vegetable. If I make pasta with meat sauce I serve a salad as the vegetable. If I serve soup as the main dish I might serve a salad as the vegetable, or sometimes nothing else but some bread. I guess to sum it up, mostly one vegetable side. I also pay attention to colors on the plate, I do not like monochrome dinners. And only consider serving bread if dinner main is soup, salad, pasta, stew, or chili. |

How to Store Maitake Mushrooms? The mushrooms pictured are not maitake. Maitake look much different and have a lot more of an earthy flavor. storing in paper bags in the refrigerator is a good method for either. |

Does the author want this book to be a quality cookbook that still is in print and being purchased 5 years from now, or is this just a trendy book? I hope if someone is going through the trouble of writing it, they would want it to have some staying power. To me the use of "deploy" sounds ridiculous now, imagine how it will sound in 5 years. I think common English, not trendy English is a much more sensible route to take. |

Please help me with my pasta dough Thanks you guys are great! |
|
|
Please help me with my pasta dough first time making pasta dough. Used the food processor, texture seems good. Anyway, I plan on using this tomorrow to make ravioli. After it came out of the processor I kneaded it by hand for 2-3 minutes per the recipe directions. I then wrapped it well and put it immediately into the refrigerator . Should I have let it rest outside the frig. For a half a hour or so before I put it in there for the night..? I am really asking , does something happen to the dough by resting it at room temp. That will not happen at refrigerator temperature? |

What do you buy that can be made (somewhat) easily at home? I buy pasta sauce and doctor it a lot. Mayo, mustard, ketchup, pickles, baked things like cookies and bread( for some reason I have zero desire to bake) some salad dressings, canned tuna, chicken broth most of the time. Ice cream. |

How to repair kenmore stand mixer I have had good luck in the past by using fixya.com. If you do not see your exact problem you can post your question and someone will answer. Used it for problems with my washing machine and was able to do the repair myself. |

Making limoncello, need advice The limoncelllo is finally drinkable after 2 months. I ended up using the zest of 30 micro planed lemons, 2 liters of 150 proof vodka. Diluted it with 10 cups of water and 7 cups of sugar. Sweet but not over the top. Intense lemon flavor. Still a little harsh when not ice cold, but getting smoother every time I taste it. (added the syrup mixture about 2 weeks ago) |

They are homemade by a Guatemalan lady. I have both chicken and pork. I buy 10-20 of them at a time when I can. |

Sounds good, I did not think of that. Have plenty of cheeses but no Swiss. But still will eat what gets the most votes. |
