We'll in Meredith this weekend. We've eaten at Lago, Church's Landing and George's Diner in Meredith and the smokehouse in Ossipee. Is there anything new?

I met Ann Dinkum in the late 1970's - she owned a Jewish restaurant in Tokyo in the 1960's-70's.

I will be in Tokyo and Kyoto next week. Any suggestions?

by "funky", do you mean they smell rotten or spoiled?

It always found it disappointing that I could never get bluefish there (they made a face when I asked them about it). I requested shad and shad roe every Spring but they never had that either. There was also fish in the display case for sale that was obviously being sold after its 'sell by' date.

Having said all that, it was the best fish store in the area, but it could have really been better.
