I just bought Okanature X Virgin red palm oil. I tried using some in cooking and found the taste quite strong & not too pleasant. Now wonder how to use it. Anyone else using Red Palm Oil in recipes/ What do you think of the flavour?

I have the same problem ( I DO want it hot) they seldom believe this white haired, white old lady. Always get the hot condiments to go with.

Hey, as a Caucasian, over 70 Sac. Bee reader, I have to say I (we) love ethnic food, particularly Asian (laos, thai) & try different things all the time.

Not all brands smell bad & some have little to no taste.

Oh, yes, me too. My Mum grew them & er ate them quite often. Never used your "sweet method though.

Ditto on Pesto. We grow plenty of basil, make pest & freeze in 1 cup containers, great for winter.

I freeze mil. (in1 qt @containers) Also freshly made tomato sauce & chunky pasta sauce.. Any small leftover veg., etc. that can be used in soups. Only problem is I sometimes forget to ID them.
Forgot to mention whole over-ripe bananas for smoothies.

Do you have the recipe for the Marinated Eggolant? I have looked to no avail!

Thanks, Paul. That is a newer model of Clipso. I got mine on e-bay & it is the first model, probably at least 10 yrs. old. I did find the manual online, however the one you sent, even tho for a new model, was helpful. l see why people have "dissed" the recipe booklet that came with this model ( I did not get it) as only 1 or 2 seemed worthwhile.

I just bought a Tefal, Clipso cooker. It did not have thew cookbook that came with it originally. Does anyone have this pressure cooker? I would love recipes geared for it. Also, the manual does not show a couple of accessories I got with it, anyone have tips re: accessories for Clipso?
