Jing Chuan definitely gone, Kazia's Asian Grab n' Go taking its place

So I finally took a better look at Airport Plaza over the weekend and was way disappointed to see a new sign at the old Jing Chuan location. It's called Kazia's Asian Grab n' Go and according to their Facebook page will open sometime in November.

This could be cool, but Jing Chuan was definitely the best Chinese in Monmouth County and maybe the best I've ever had in NJ.

new Chipotle in Fort Lee?

I work near Linwood Plaza and overheard someone say they're putting "a Chipotle in" and couldn't find any information about it anywhere. Anyone have some inside info?

What's good for lunch in Fort Lee?

Started working up here a few months ago right off 46 on Fletcher Ave, and besides two different pizza places haven't ventured out too much for lunch.

Anyone have good suggestions?

Best Fried Clams/Clam Strips?

Yep, I did request both! Been to and LOVE Mr. Shrimp, just wondering if there are any other places I hadn't tried. My parents always talk about Alan's (I believe) in New Gretna, but I haven't gotten there yet.

Help: Szechuan Crispy Chicken with Spicy Garlic Sauce anywhere near Monmouth County?

I used to work near Columbus Circle and the thing I miss most about it is my favorite Chinese meal at Szechuan Gourmet 56, their Crispy Chicken with Spicy Garlic sauce.

I've been lucky enough to ask very specifically at only one place and get something close, but then the next week went back and explained it the same way (Think General Tso's but with Spicy Garlic Sauce instead) and it came out as Chicken with Garlic Sauce usually does, shredded. It's not bad, but I mean, I've got a craving.

Any other Chowers who could point me in a better direction, my stomach will be eternally grateful.

Lubrano's in Manasquan, anyone?

Recently ate here for the first time, and I feel like I've tried most Italian restaurants in the Monmouth County region, and this totally blew me away. Everything from the homemade bread to the super tender calamari and then some. I had the "Americanized" creamy pesto sauce, girlfriend had the pescatore and both were totally socks-knocking-off great.

Definitely check this place out if you haven't yet. Worth a long drive, IMO.

Favorite Defunct Monmouth County Restaurant

My most missed places in no particular order:

1) Jim's Burger Haven! Nothing like a bacon cheeseburger, grilled cheese, onion rings and a large Mountain Dew for 7 bucks. Nothing like their pancakes either.

2) Mama Lucia in Red Bank, because it was the first place I discovered my love for linguine and clam sauce as a child.

3) Carmine's sub shop was briefly in Red Bank and definitely pretty great.

Drew's Bayshore Bistro, Keyport

Drew's cajun meat pie (empanada) might be my favorite food ever. Seriously. The most delicious.

St Patrick's Day/Looking for best Irish Bar/Resaurant

McDonaghs in Keyport has the best Irish pub food, maybe ever. Also, Murray MacGregor's in Rumson.

Best Lobster (and/or lobster roll) in Monmouth/Ocean counties?

my main Lobster Roll joint as of late has been Luke's in Manhattan. Their truck comes by my office once a week and is amazingly great, but I'm looking for a good spot for this weekend. Any recommendations?

Pizza in Monmouth County

The Red Bank area has two FANTASTIC pizza places, both for totally different reasons.

In Red Bank proper is Pacini's, which is the best tasting plain slice in town, by far. The rest of their food is delicious, especially the garlic knots, but the plain slice is kiler.

In Middletown, in the Quik Chek shopping center next to Target on 35 N, is Pasquale's. Go there, get a slice of Buffalo Chicken Pizza and prepare for your world to change. Or Chicken Vodka. Or bacon cheeseburger. Their specialty pies are INSANE and great. Expensive, but great.
