Hi Everyone, We are going to be in Anna Maria Island next weekend 4/26-4/29 and wanted to know where we could get fresh oysters, (will be grilling them), preferable not from the Gulf Coast? Meaning no disrespect, just a little concerned about the oil spill issue. I love Apalachicola oysters, but are afraid to eat them after the fairly recent incident. Thanks in advance!!! |

Thanks, I will check it out. Do you know if they have grilled pork summer rolls? |
|

Wanted to know where I could get grilled, not shreded, Vietnamese pork summer rolls. Been looking online and most of what I see is shrimp and shreded pork or just shrimp. Also, recs for best Pho. Saw reviews on 777 and Tank but wanted to know if there was anything else out there? Thanks in advance! |

Take it for what it is worth... Food isn't bad but don't go with high expectations. American casual bistro. I liked the fish tacos too and the tortilla soup. |

Prav, I thought Le's in the very, very good. Do you have better suggestions? Thanks! |

I went to Chipotle this weekend and have no complaints at all about the food. Quality is very good - I agree with Finlero. I just moved from Las Vegas where you can get excellent Mexican food. Chipotle is probably the only place out in the "burbs" where I know I can get a decent quick burrito or soft taco. |

Chili Verde, Tomatillos or not falingup, |

Wow! Thanks for the thread. You did some serious research. I ended up at Lucia b/c that was the only place we could get in. My friends really enjoyed their dishes of veal saltimboca - think that's what they ordered. I had the gnocchi in tomato sauce and it was forgettable. We tried to get into Carmen but there was absolutely no way with out a reservation. Think I will try Mamm Maria on your recommendation, with the husband next. |

Hi! Was wanting your favorite Italian recommendations in the North End with a laid back atmosphere. Was looking for great pasta, preferably house made if possible. Price doesn't matter as long as it is worth it. |
|

Sorry, guess I was a little vague. It would be for dinner, expensive to moderately priced is fine as long as it is worth it. Party of 3 adults on Saturday night and we do have a car. I just thought if there was a place close by then parking wouldn't be such a hassle. Thanks again! |

Hi everyone, Wanted dinner recommendations near the John Hancock Hotel. Any recommendations for places that are "must tries". We will have a car and don't mind driving. Open to type of food. Thanks in advance. |

Chili Verde, Tomatillos or not I ended up making it with tomatillos since I had them on hand and didn't know what else to to with them. And I did use poblanos and Hatch chilis. Turned out terrific and even better the second day. Again, thanks again for all of the input. |

Chili Verde, Tomatillos or not Will look for the herb.....Sounds interesting! |

What favorite Places do you go to because of Chowhound Sichuan Gourmet in Framingham |

Chili Verde, Tomatillos or not Hmmm, I wonder why my original stew was a bit tart. I didn't roat them before I put them in the stew. It did turn out delicious anyways. Just not what I was expecting. Thanks for all the info. Very informative feedback. |

Chili Verde, Tomatillos or not I have on hand - poblanos, fresh Hatch green chilis, Anehiem chilis and tomatillos and was thinking about leaving out the tomatillos. Can't decide what recipe to use. |

Chili Verde, Tomatillos or not Thoughts on the preference of tomatillos in chili verde or straight up chilis only. What is more authentic? What is preferred? I've seen several chili verde recipes in the internet that look delicious. Some call for tomatillos and some just call for chilis only. I've tried a recipe that called for tomatillos and it turned out great but was pretty sour so I balanced it out with a little sugar. Just curious on what others think? |

The only place I've been to on your list is Blue Room so I have no comaprisons for you, sorry. That said, I really enjoyed Blue Room. It was buffet style, but on a smaller scale so dishes were replenished quickly and everything tasted fresh. The day I went they had standard fare of scrambled eggs, house made sausage, bacon, pancakes, home fries and they also had asian flavored ribs, ceviche that was very good, watermelon gazpacho, several types of salads, sauteed mushrooms, grilled salmon. There were a few other things that don't stand out clearly but everything was very good with no complaints. Althought their food was very, very good the one reason I would go back again and again is for the dessert table. Several casserole dishes fruit crisps - pear and banana and peach and raspberry crisp, cheese cake, cookies, brownies, french macaroons and everything just looked home made and so fresh. I'm not a big dessert eater and will usually pass it up but I just couldn't refuse to attempt to sample everything. |

I was thinking it...glad you said it. I do like Ming. I really respect him. The fact that he's so involved in his restaurant speaks volumes to me. I didn't expect to see him when I stopped in for dinner one night. Very down to earth and the food there is great! |

Things I ate/drank in college that I will never eat again Regarding your love for Top Ramen. I have to admit that I love it too. Couldn't give that one up. There was a thread on "doctoring Ramen soup" on one of the boards and it was pretty amazing. Got some great ideas from it |
