my dough is breaking!

Im making koulourakia, a traditional greek christmas cookie which is traditionally formed into a shape similar to the awareness ribbons (think like a breast cancer ribbon with an extra cross over or two). when i go to twist the dough after i have rolled it into a thin long log, the top of the loop breaks! any suggestions? image credit goes to las vegas greek festival site

storing sauce

ok so I want to make an Indian sauce called Makhani but it is a time intensive sauce and I want to be able to make a big batch and store most of it. any suggestions for how to store it? the 3 main ingredients are tomatoes, butter, and cream. thanks in advance!

Kataifi dough around Long Beach? - moved from Home Cooking board

I'm planning a big fat Greek dinner for my dad for fathers day and really wanted to make kataifi. Anyone know where I can find shredded phyillo dough? Any distance, doesn't matter. Thanks!

freezing doughs

the dough balls don't stick? well, does it really matter if they stick, you can just separate them before baking right?

taro powder and boba

anyone know where to buy taro powder? recently, my family has fallen in love with boba taro milkshakes, and i would love to put my ice cream maker to work. i live in long beach and dont want to buy it online. thanks ahead of time!
(PS, if anyone knows where to get boba that would be appreciated too)

freezing doughs

i live with my mother and often, it is NOT calorically logical to make an entire batch of baked goods to share between two people. i love making cookies, pizza dough, rolls, and the like. but, some times i dont have time to bake the same day i make a dough. can i freeze dough? are there considerations to be taken into account when deciding to freeze?
