Paris neophyte needs help with

Since we don't have real specific places chosen, I guess we
will have a lot of options. Thanks for the post

Since our travel dates are from Aug. 27th through mid- September I hope that we will be okay. Sounds like Sundays are the hardest to cover. Thanks for the tip.

Hi John,
I've noticed many top-notch restaurant choices. We have found that sometimes you can over pay for a meal, that you could have gotten elsewhere. Since this trip is to celebrate a special occasion, I want us to experience a special dinner in Paris. I was thinking perhaps Grande Cascade or Lasserre. I would also appreciate any suggestions on places for lunch and other dinners. We will be driving to Tours, the Cahors area, Millau (to see the Gorges du Tarn), then Annecy and Lyon. It's sort of a history trip! I did attend culinary school here in our state of Louisiana, but pastry was my area of expertise. I want to thank you for responding, and any help you can me on any of the other areas will be appreciated.

We are planning a trip to France in August and will celebrate our anniversary during our stay in Paris. We would like to dine in a special occasion restaurant with a more formal decor. My dilemma concerns the menus. My husband loves dining out, but we are not quite as adventurous as some diners and would like to have adequate choices on the menu. The cost is not as much of a concern as knowing that we will find plat principals that we would enjoy. Thank you so much for any advice.

question on frosting and fillings

Thanks for the information I think I'll make these closer to the wedding date. I'll be cooking for 150 guests so it's going to be a stretch, but cakes are in the freezer so i'm that far ahead and I do have some help. I've frozen the white chocolate filling before and it does work. The other one could be made the week of. Just didn't want to get too far in over my head. Thanks everyone!!

question on frosting and fillings

i'm baking my daughter's wedding cakes and plan to finish them 2 days before the event.
I would prefer to refrigerate the white chocolate filling and cream cheese white chocolate
frosting in air tight containers. I would need to keep them under refrigeration for 3-4 weeks.
Has anyone any suggestions. I've frozen Italian buttercream frosting successfully for a number
of months, but prefer to refrigerate these.
