Lili Marlene's on the hill serves til midnight. Good cocktails and small cheap menu. I second north. The ham biscuits are awesome.

The old Via Via space off Thayer is being remodeled as a new location of Gourmet Heaven. Signage went up pretty recently

Wendell's is about 15 min away in norton. Awesome wings in a roadhouse cash only atmosphere. Also cheap sandwiches and soups. Last time I was in I ordered a blt...they ran out of tomato so they gave me extra bacon. Best solution ever. It's was 3.50$

Just had fried oysters at north. So awesome and presentation separated it from most deep fried nuggets you see everywhere else. Lightly fried, wrapped in napa with apple, tofu and kimchi. Great crunch spicy briny goodness. Hemenways does 1/2 price raw bar Mondays that we hit up more for the crab legs than oysters but its adequate for what it is. PVD oyster bar has "appy hour" during the week w 1$ selections but will usually have a few off the menu choices if you chat them up ( a few sweetneck oysters from mv last time we were in) the 1$ oysters were from va

Boston natives in town Sunday-Friday are looking to watch football. Staying on royal st in FQ. Willing to travel (we land a couple hours before 6:30 kickoff) doesn't have to be in FQ . Just looking for decent bar food/tv viewing. All suggestions welcome

Bought some Thomas Handy right before xmas at Gasbarros in North Attleboro. Not exactly greater boston but they had several bottles. But they were out of Saz 18

Eddy has opened on Eddy St. just off Westminster behind Modern Love. Owned by some Dorrance alums. Small menu, small space (about 40 including the bar) but already an industry hangout. Opened last Wednesday. Focusing on properly made cocktails at a reasonable price. 7$ sazerac people!!!

I think Cresta in the apex building in Pawtucket has closed. Havent seen any signs of life recently

Andy Jr's Appetizers Plus opened quietly on the hill in October. Drove by last night. Space looks nice. Can't find much info on it. Anyone been?

Stopped in Monday afternoon ( opening day) and was impressed with the small but awesome array of kitchen stuff. New and vintage cookbooks, cookware, cast iron, aprons, serving pieces etc. definitely excited to see if demos are in the future. Currently seems to be strictly non food items...wonder if that will change?

Mile and a Quarter has opened according to a yelper. Can't find any website and just happened to see the review from a few days ago. Had driven by many times while they were renovating the old barnsider space the past few months. Signage mentioned it being a wine bar. Anyone been? Said review is a bit...umm...ambiguous...

Circe just opened in the old Downcity space. Monday was opening night. Pan-Mediterranean menu looks interesting. Open for lunch and dinner daily and brunch on the weekend.

Drove by The Custom House last night and the windows while still papered over have signs up that say 52 restaurant & lounge coming soon. One of the owners has a dj / nightlife promotion business...I have a feeling it will be a dinner til 10 then turn into a nightclub type of place. Not sure of the projected opening date

I would agree on the pricing. We shared the 18$ sausage pizza. I liked the crust but it needed some salt. On a side note the bartender was the former owner of Downcity. Is she involved in ownership?
