Hmmmm. Interesting. Goldang...when I say "plain old" I mean a shot of barista coffee. No additives like vanilla for example. yes your link is what I'm looking for but don't confuse barista coffee with ...ugh...drip. Grayelf...Yes, you should be wary! But where oh where do I find a savvy barista? There is a place called (I think) Coffee bean & tea Leaf in the Fin district ob Bush. Thanks, I'll certainly check your link. sfcarole... Thank you. BB is on my list
Hi everyone, We'll be in SF next month on vacation and will be looking for a barista in SF who knows how to make a flat white coffee. Nothing fancy, just plain old coffee and full cream milk. We're staying on Bush St and wouls appreciate your advice on where to find this elusive bev. Thanks Phil
Thank you everyone for your replies. I'm thinking when we return in Sept we need to investigate the Palace, although I don't think that was it. However, Lehr's it may have been IF it was there in 1991. Few photos unfortunately. Thanks again
It was this long ago we were in SF on family business. I found a hotel in town for breakfast but forget completely where it is. However, the dining area is unique in that it has (had) a glassed atrium-type room with lots of hanging greenery and palms, etc throughout the room. We were due for a romantic breakfast there until we discovered wife was prone to morning sickness, unknown to us at that time so breakfast was cancelled. Please, does anyone remember or know of this hotel? I believe it was 4 or 5 star estab. Thank you for remembering!
