SAUTEED soft shell crabs in Rehoboth
Had lunch at the Buttery(in Lewes) about 2 weeks ago and had the softshell sandwich, was delish. Would highly recommend it.

travelmad478, I'm not sure where Papa's get their meat either but I do know that he buys the whole steer and butchers it himself. That's why I get my burger there, I feel safe in cooking it rare....
Barbuzzo Review
Tried Barbuzzo a couple of weeks ago and it was wonderful, tight seats but otherwise a great place. Last weekend tried Bindi which was equally as good, awful server but otherwise a wonderful experience. Close seating there too but not quite as tight, now I can't wait to try Lolita...

I like Okura and a couple of the other ones but my fav is still Mikimoto's. I think they have the best sushi and cooked foods. Also love their sister restaurant in Rehoboth Stingray. Check them out if you have not tried them.
Is there ANY restaurant at all worth going to in Wilmington, DE?
Milky, I am happy to report the answer is YES. Last night I had dinner at the new Chelsea Tavern in downtown Wilmington. Wow, I was shocked it was so good. Started with watermelon salad with feta cheese and yogurt. Really delish. Next had the special 'tv dinner' shrimp with tomatoes and capers, wonderful beans, a salad and brownies for desert. $17. Are you kidding me for this quality. It is a MUST try. Service was just as good as the food and they have a wood burning oven. Next time I'm trying the pizza. Great beer list too. I loved it and did not expect to. Let me know if you try it.

Quality Grocery Stores / Markets in Delaware
Sadly I do not think we will get the Whole Foods although I have communicated with them and they don't say they are not coming so I keep hoping. I second the visit to Janssens it's the best we have. If you are in the Wilmington area stop by at Papas Food Market on 6th Street between Union and Lincoln. Best butcher we have, and he will cut anything you need. They have great bacon and no one has fresher chickens....try it out.

Wilmington, DE Chinese--a winner!
Szeuchuan the one on Kirkwood is under new management and I agree, they do have some kinks. I have gotten takeout from there twice and they have messed up the order both times, one time costing me $10 more. I took the order because it was too painful trying to explain the problem. The original owners were so nice and the food so good but now I'm worried that is all gone. Why can't we get a decent Chinese restaurant? Thanks.

Philly for a weekend (as in a Saturday & Sunday)
I've recently had brunch in the Rittenhouse area at Parc which was very good, mussels, frites and wine. I also had brunch at Tinto which was exceptional. It is prix fixe at $25 you select a first course and I had cheese, excellent, main was duck leg which was superb, side dish of asparagus, incredible and then desert. If you have a choice of the grapefrui brulee, try it, it was really good and very different. Good luck and let us know what you try.

travelmad478, I agree, I have been to Rasa a few times and was very pleased with my selections. Have had no success getting to their online menu though for take out. But there is a new restaurant in Newark called Pinang(Shoppes at Louviers) which is also quite good and I think a nicer selection of Malay dishes. Let me know if you try it.

There is an Indian/Pakistani market in the Apollo Shopping Center on Kirkwood Hwy. I'd try there before I went to Euro, I have been to both and my guess would be the place in Apollo might have what you are looking for.

Had dinner at Lupo di Mare in Rehoboth this week, it was really good, very authentic. I had a shaved Brussel Sprout salad with pecerino cheese and truffle oil, grilled artichokes and a salad of grapefruit, oranges and fennel. Very authentic Italian, great service and nice setting. A must try if you like authentic Italian and are in Rehoboth.
