Honeymoon in Newport, Where Should We Eat?

Honeymoon in Newport, Where Should We Eat?

The porch is closed for the season, and probably still will be in March. The 12 meter room is open, and is almost as fun.

Best pub food for lunch in the Financial District?

If you like Silvertone then I think you would like Scholar's on School St., especially for the beer selection. I know it's a hike, but there is no better pub food in the city for the money than The Fours. It is worth the walk especially on a nice spring day.

I agree with many others that you should ignore yelp. My wife and I had a great restaurant experience at Spiced Pear. Food, service and ambiance were all top notch. For seafood I think Scales and Shells is the place. We also like upstairs at The Cooke House. For lunch a cup of chowder at The Black Pearl is a good take.

Pub/Bar with solid Food in Wareham area

Have not tried Cranberries, but thumbs up on Ella's. Also, The Gateway Tavern in West Wareham is decent pub food. A little off the beaten path, but Little Red Smokehouse in Carver is a good take if you like barbecue.

Rehearsal dinner venue suggestions, Newport RI??

Check out the Spiced Pear to see what they might have for a private space.

Great Fish Market near Providence?

It will test the outer limits of your distance parameter, but I have heard great things about Fisherman's Martket in New Bedford.

Haven't ventured there myself yet, but plan to do so soon.

Easy shot down Rt 195.

Little-Known, Out-of-the-Way Red-Sauce Italian Places in MA or RI?

Riccardi's or The Pasta House (both in Fairhaven) might fit your bill.

Dartmouth, MA/Cuttyhunk

Here are some thoughts for you:

The Back Eddy in Westport
Margaret's and/or Elizabeth's in Fairhaven
Antonio's (Portuguese) in New Bedford
Turk's in Mattapoisett

I think most of them have a web site, or at least some on-line reviews if you want to research more.

Looking for a fun, kid-friendly restaurant anywhere between Providence and Boston

We always like Fire and Ice (downtown Providence) with the kids. Active participation with your meal, reasonably priced, and there is something for eveyone.

Looking for Family Restaurant off of Rt. 495

Looking for a fun and delicious (non-chain) family restaurant close off of Rte. 495 between Rt. 24 (Bridgewater) and exit 25 (Marlborough)...
