throwing fish: not a good thing for quality It's a stunt fish. |

Does meat include seafood/shellfish and/or eggs? |

I would suggest to stay away from Lake City if you're wanting to wander. West Seattle, Queen Anne, South Lake Union are much better areas. All three areas would be great if the sun came out. All have fun places to pop in and have a meal. Queen Anne and West Seattle both have great bakeries. |

This really recent thread has some great suggestions and great feedback from a lot of people. |

First trip to Seattle (from Florida), looking for ideas Dick's is good hangover food, but I wouldn't peg it as worth a trip. If you do go it's cash only though. |

No reservations, anniversary dinner this evening? Madison Park Conservatory is open tonight. You can make reservations/check to see if they have room at Urbanspoon I think. |

Indian food has some wonderful options for a vegetarian that goes beyond just rice and vegetables. I think even a meat eater would be very pleasantly surprised with their food. |

Seattle this weekend - must eats for 10 ppl? You could try Madison Park Conservatory for dinner. I did a quick look and it seems as though they may have room for a later (8ish) dinner Saturday. There is a bar, the Attic, near that is a hangout for grads from UW, so it would fit in with your age group. The bar is nothing fancy but it would do the trick. |

Kitchenaid Stand mixer - which size to get? Amen. I have the Pro 600 and use it all the time (the majority of which it's total overkill) and I love having the capacity if I need it. It stays on the counter though since it won't fit in any of my cabinets. |

Business trip to Seattle need recs This link has a lot of good ideas: |

Tacoma spot with decent food, TV viewable from dining area The Ram down on the waterfront would have TV's all over. Nothing special though. |

Hole in the wall seafood recs? Living right down the set from 5 Hooks, I would never suggest to someone to go there. I have never seen more than maybe 2 people in the place and from the locals here on the Hill it is not getting good raves. |

Best sushi Queen Anne neighborhood There is Calva still up on Queen Anne near Bartell's. Haven't eaten there though. Moshi Moshi in Ballard is also good. |

I concur. Last weekend we went to the new Armory at the Seattle Center and lunched at Skillet. The burger was bleh and waaay too much bacon jam/whatever. The fries were good though...but they were fries. |

Seattle - 5 great dinners and a few good lunches? LloydMartin in Queen Anne is very good (changing menus) and has gotten a lot of good press lately. Book Bindery in the Fremont area is also great. |

Restaurant changes on Queen Anne I haven't been to the new openings either (Lloyd Martin & Mez) but have heard good things about both although now Lloyd Martin isn't filling up their restaurant enough so their dining room is rez only. Bar area is drop in but with a kid it's impossible to drop in. It's crappy to see one landlord basically evict tenants (Ototto, Enza, Tea Cup) although besides Ototto the other two either will not be missed or were not doing well. Tenoch was horrid the one time that we went there. That location is hard with it not being on street level. |
