Looking for rec's for a birthday dinner

Thanks everyone for the suggestions but my palette changed my idea for me and I hope it did a good job.

As I was lookin for places, I stumbled upon Cadot (which is French NOT Italian or Steak that I had put my parameters on). On the specials menu, Cadot was serving a "Baby Veal Osso Bucco" and I was sold. I called the restaurants to see how long the specials would last and the lady said 3 days but asked why I was concerned. I explained to her that I was looking forward to eating the Osso Bucco and she spoke with the chef and told me he would have it for me when I came in. My reservations are for the 28th and I am excited about this decision. I have never been here so I hope it is good.

Thanks again for all of the suggestions and I will definitely try Amici and Mi Piaci in the future.

Looking for rec's for a birthday dinner

Hi all,

I have used CH in the past in order to find unique/great dinner rec's in DFW so I know this should be an easy one for the regulars. My fiance and I are going out to eat for her birthday Saturday night and I am looking to take her to a place that is moderately romantic. We live in The Colony but drive regularly to downtown Dallas for dinner so location is not really an issue. I am looking primarily for steak or italian food. The places I have picked up from the boards that fit my description are (not limited to these obviously)..

Mi Piaci
Ferrari's Italian Villa
Amici Signature Italian
Kenny's Woodfire Grill
Cafe Mykonos

Anyone that has other suggestions or a favorite out of this list would be very helpful.

P.S. I left out elite steakhouses (Del Frisco's, Bob's, III Forks, etc.) because of price but any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks!,
Anthony
