my mom will be in town visiting this Friday night from New England... Would like to plan dinner for herself, me, and her very foodie friend. Any sugegstions for spots either downtown financial district OR by the Lincoln tunnel? All eaters are adventurous, looking for delicious fare. Price at around about $30-40 pp would be best.

For markers, favorite restaurants of Mom's in NYC include Perilla and Tao (very different, I know!)
