I love bbq as much as anyone, and I think Sweatman's is fantastic, but its a 2 hour drive from HHI. Whether you're willing to drive that far is a personal decision, but I certainly wouldn't. |

Where can I buy Lizano Salsa in Wilmington or the NC triangle? I love this stuff too, after discovering it on a trip to CR back on 2006. Its pretty widely available. I think Harris Teeter and Wal Mart both sell it...I know I saw it at the Wal Mart in Southport this past weekend. Compare Foods carries, they have 2 stores in Durham. Most any hispanic or international grocery store should have it. |

Gluten Free Bridal Shower [moved from Southeast board] This board s geographically specific to North Carolina, South Carolina and Georgia. Are you looking for a restaurant or caterer in a specific city somewhere in those states? If so, it would be helpful to post back what that city is, and exactly what you are looking for. Good luck. |

I respectfully, but completely, disagree, Bullock's bbq is definately to be missed. It can't hold a candle to Allen and Son, Skylight, Blackbeard's, Lexington, etc. By any objective measure, its simply not good. |

If you go to Lexington to get some 'q, some of the best pimento cheese in NC can be found at Conrad & Hinkle, a small grocery store in downtown Lexington. |

Slightly Upscale Steakhouse[Grove Park, Asheville NC] I agree with Danna that your reviews are informative and well written. however, I would respectfully suggest that you use a more descriptive title that includes the restaurant name and location, as opposed to a generic descriptor like "Slightly Upscale Steak house". Many people scan down the board looking at thread titles for restaurants and cities that interest them, and it is much easier to determine a thread's relevance if it contains that information. |

Culinary Student looking to expand palette in Greenville, SC and surrounding area. Welcome to Chowhound. I'm sure others will post some specific suggestions, but in the meantime you might find the search feature to be useful for you (it's located in the upper right hand coner of the page). For example, I typed "Greenville" in and found the following previous threads that may help you: http://chowhound.chow.com/topics/798301 One specific suggestion I do have is Grits and Groceries, in Belton. It might be a bit far of a drive for you, but would make a fun and delicious outing. |

Dukes Barbecue disambiguation - does the Whitman St. location in Orangeburg, SC serve veggie sides? Try Joyce and Family Restaurant in Fuquay Varina. |
