BEmama here. Thanks all for responding. I found them at Bethesda Giant, but will check out WF and Georgetown Safeway the next time. As there are more Asian Americans in DC suburbs than DC proper, I wondered if I would be less likely to find in District. I do not cook a lot of Asian-infuenced dishes, so am less familiar with District options. Again, thanks all for responding.

Whole Foods carries regular orange juice (fresh squeezed), but not blood orange fresh squeezed.

Where can I get good latkes and small sandwiches for a holiday party? I don't want to serve a big brisket sandwich - something small is preferable. Grateful for any and all suggestions!

Actually, it is not ridiculous. Buttercream is best when served at room temperature. Worked in a bakery for six months and always instructed customers to take the kid out of the frig for at least fifteen minutes before serving.

Or may agree to take-out for a special occasion. We have a guest arriving late and I would like to surprise with a Brazilian dish. Thanks!

I've usually been able to pick up the Patak's mango and lime pickles at Whole Foods, but all of the ones in DC proper are out (and at least two of them have been out for weeks). Neither Dean & Deluca nor Balducci's carry the mango or lime pickles. I need suggestions fast and close as I can't travel to Virginia or Maryland for at least. I'm really jonesing.
