Where can a girl find a nice lobster dinner?
A few months ago I had a great lobster dinner at Pappadeaux for about $30 or so...... I might go there this weekend but if there's a long wait I'd like to have a plan B. Any ideas?
the best food in Israel?
I haven't been there in a long time, but for a lovely meal check out "Dag al haDan", which translates to "Fish on the Dan (River)" It's waaaaay up north, north of Kiryat Shemona. A fish restaurant in a beautiful setting. It's worth going up north anyway.... very different experience than the central Tel Aviv/Jerusalem experience most tourists get!
I also have to mention a tiny little mountain town called Peki'in, where you can watch Iraqi-style pita made and immediately stuffed with Labeneh, a wonderful sour white cheese, and za'atar, a terrific middle-eastern spice. You want authentic, off the tourist path food, this is it! Again, in a beautiful setting.
Have a wonderful trip!
Seeking a good lunch around 183/290/Cameron Road area...
We're looking for a nice "Austinish" place to have lunch. Our office is located at 290/183 but we can head out to I-35 area....... The only places I know about are things like Chili's and Bennigans but we don't want a chain. I know that Ninfa's is nearby and that's a possibility.... but I wanted to collect other ideas. Anyone?
Seeking some good fried seafood and 'ritas up north.....
Where is the best place to get some fried shrimp and other seafood, that also has a bar? Lots of places have beer but I want to get some other cold drinks. Looking specifically up north. Any ideas?
